Quality - still
Like many others here, I’ve worn these sandals exclusively for many years - about 25 years now. They always last several yrs with regular wear every summer, part time wear spring and fall. They do truly form to your feet as stated in description and IMO aren’t uncomfortable out of the bag like many claim.I’m a WIDE 9.5-10 shoe size and I order the regular width 9.5-10.5. Although my feet are wide, these sandals will slightly broaden as you wear them and the normal size fits me just right with a wide foot, I don’t order the “M” (wide) size.I don’t see any fall off in quality as some claim here, maybe those individuals received knock offs, idk.Pic of the old ones and the new ones I just got. Keep in mind these are the SAME color. I always get this color because ALL genuine leather sandals such as these will darken with wear and age, so I recommend not getting too hung up on the shade/color of brown you purchase. they probably all wind up looking very similar after some wear and age.Hope this helps

Best Flips I've ever Flopped!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:These are the best sandals I've ever worn. I haven't had them long, so I can't speak to how well they hold up over time, but first impressions have me hating all my other sandals. These are very lightweight compared to my Olokai, and much more comfortable. I wear US men's 8-8.5, and the Medium fit perfectly. Don't go off shoe size. Use the measurements instead. Worth every penny.Size:Medium

Clearing some concerns.
I got these about two weeks ago, and I've been wearing them to break them in almost every day. It's painful, but once they're broken in, they're pretty comfortable! Now, let's address the concerns! If you're buying these, since the chemical burn debacle, I have to chime in with what I've found. I searched around, and saw a couple cases in which people remark on getting the chemical burn after getting the straps wet. I took this approach of keeping them dry at all times. My feet aren't sweaty either, so that helps. Two weeks in, and I haven't had any reactions. My feet are very sensitive, and the pair I got came from China, so I'd say...theory confirmed so far? I'll update if anything changes, but I seem to be perfectly fine by now.Another thing is the sizing. Do NOT use the standard shoe sizes as reference! The size guide includes the sandal length in inches or cm, so use that against your foot length. The ideal sandal size should be half an inch on the front, and one on the back, so 1 inch longer if you're U.S. like me. I did this and got a perfect fit.Third, be wary of the seller! Try to navigate to the official Rainbow store. I've seen several complaints of people getting used pairs or even counterfeits. Always double check at checkout. This might decrease your chance of getting some used pair or something.Fourth, the type of leather. Be wary that some colors only come in a specific type of leather. I personally prefer the premier leather because it's matte and not as flashy, but the other leathers supposedly have a sheen to them. Always check before putting down the cash.Fifth, the double layer is not huge! If you're afraid the double layer sandal is going to look like a platform shoe, worry not. It looks surprisingly low profile! I am very relieved I chose the double layer one because I can get my cake and eat it too - that is, maximum style and comfort. And finally, the colors. I had my serious doubts about how the sandal looks in real life versus the picture. I got the dark brown one, and the color is pretty much 1:1 with the store photo. That's about if for the potential concerns. I personally loved the extra style these flips provide, and the extra comfort is a plus. I'd still wouldn't recommend these for everyday wear, because they might eventually get wet, be it with water or sweat. They pose some risks, but the trade off is some of the best looking sandals on the market.

Buyer beware. Falls apart rapidly.
I've been a decades long Rainbow Sandals wearer due to their comfort and durability through many years in the USA and Mexico, including many years in tropical conditions. My wife bought these for me as a gift and within 4-5 weeks the soles of both sandals started to delaminate. It is easy to see looking into the separation that the glue was not spread completely across the layers of sole. They are very comfortable, of course, except for when that flapping sole catches on something. When we reached out to the seller, we had passed the initial timeline to return ( since we are in and out of Mexico often ) and so I contacted Rainbow in San Clemente.I asked them to send me a new pair with a return shipping label since they are effectively brand new and also carry a lifetime warranty.Rainbow's response was for me to send them the sandals on my dime, wait for them to evaluate them over 5-7 days and then they would issue a determination on whether to repair them or to replace them.I told them this is really inconvenient for such an expensive and simple product exchange but they really don't seem to care.I guess they have finally gotten to be too large of a company to care about their everyday and long-time clients.I am not pleased at all and I hate to say it but for this kind of money and service I will have to see if any other brands have better products. For the cost of shipping and waiting for a return on their determination which should be a quick and simple replacement on their part due to their being brand new and defective it is probably less expensive and certainly less inconvenient time-wise to just have a competent shoe repair business glue them up since Rainbow seems to have quality issues with glue at this point.I am certain the majority of their sandals are perfect and don't fall apart but don't expect any level of service from them on their dime if your warrantied sandals start to fail like mine have.
