Great chair
Looks good, comfy, good value, lasting, easy to assemble - use as desk chair

Good value, solid, and worth the wait.
The self-assembly was relatively straightforward. All the parts were present, with a few spares (noted as such). The only tricky part was attaching the chair back: the instructions tell you to lie it flat on the seat, but that puts it at the wrong angle for the screws to meet their holes. You will need either some cushions or a second pair of hands for that part and I had some undoing to do the first time as I hadn't got everything perfectly lined up.As self-assembly goes, I'd still say it was pretty good because it's well made and everything fits together as it should. It's a nice chair and very solid. We had to wait for three months for delivery because it was out of stock and it was worth it. The arms that fold out the way are going to be very useful when my husband sits on it to play guitar but the rest of the time they will be wanted, and I like that they are padded. All in all, a good buy.

Good chair in a sea of rubbish ones
I think I've probably bought a new office chair every 18 months or so for the last 10 years as they all seem to fail on one thing or another after that time. It's usually the gas lift gives up, the PU leather starts flaking off or something just falls apart. Maybe it's just inevitable in the sub £150 price range but you live in hope!Anyway, on first impressions this one looks good so far. There was the usual struggle of trying to line up the screws when fixing the seat to the back but nothing that an extra pair of hands or a bit of perseverance doesn't fix. No big problems and shouldn't take you anywhere more than between 15 to 40 mins to put together. After that, well it's very comfortable with decent cushioning on the seat and seems sturdy after a couple of days (a week now).Plus points:1) Flexible armrests are a must for me (musician/guitarist/weird sitter with legs up and sometimes crossed)2) Good neck and back support for a 6'1 male (I can lean back and still rest my head on the back)3) PU 'leather' seems better quality than most and feels less likely to flake than a lot of other chairs I've had before in this price range4) Mobile enough to wheel around easily but doesn't slip around5) Rocks back and forth well with pin out, push pin in for rigidityNegative points:1) A bit fiddly at first to fit the back to the seat but all office chairs seem to suffer from this. Persevere or get a helpful partner to speed things up, not a big deal really2) Plastic caps that cover the screw holes are absolute rubbish and just fall out immediately but put a bit of blu-tac in to hold them (not a big deal at all)I spent a while looking at all the other reviews as I'm getting a bit bored with having £100-£200 chairs fail after less than a year. So this is all after a week or so - if it starts falling apart I'll update the review but it looks better than most I've tried so far.

Comfortably functional chair.
The chair assembled fairly easily, with only a minor wrestle with fitting the arms. It looks good and is adjustable as needed. I particularly like the fact that the arms lift right up out of the way when I want to type. Good value and no downside detected yet!

Servicable, but ultimately disappointing.
I am a heavy gentleman, and finding an affordable chair to suit my weight has been a struggle. SONGMICS come along with a great looking range of office chairs that are achieveing sensible reviews. So I order the SONGMICS Executive Office Chair OBG21BUK hoping for good results. The chair turns up quickly and well packaged and I proceed to build the item. The build is very straight forward with good clear instructons and the tools you need to build the chair to completion (and spare parts too!!).Now for the sitting test, and OH NO, straght away I see the chair has fallen afoul that which seems to aflict most "new" office chairs. The seat base feels tilted forward causing the user to feel constantly like they will slide down, and eventually off, the seat itself. The tilt also means that the back is not supported by the large full height back rest which results in back pain after a short use. ***Thus making the chair uncomfortable and not fit for purpose**Why chair manufacturers decide to put this forward lean onto their office chairs these days i will never know. And whilst the chair can tilt backwards the user only has an option to lock the chair forward, or have no lock and have a free range tilt. However, the rest of the chair does, infact, hold up to scruitiny so far. It is moderately comfortable, the cushioning is good and so far piston is holding up to my use. Unfortunately teh arm rests are so far back and so low that they are nigh on useless. For my body shape I actually have to rotate my shoulders sideways to use one arm rest at a time. it is impossible to have both arms rested at the same time.******Too long: Didn't Read******- Seat tilts forwards at normal position- Arm Rests are nigh unuseable~ Acceptable cusioning~ Attractive PU Leather+ Good strength in pistonThe chair is not, in my opinion, a £95 chair.
