I got a free dynaglo propane grill and all I had to do was clean it up. I have only spent money on propane and this temp gauge, which is perfect. Following the gauge readings you can accurately time the grilling and food comes out perfect. I used a 3/8 drill bit and installed it right into the lid right below the dynaglo logo. This is the grilling accessory of the year!

This temperature gauge was easy to install and seems to be working as expected. This was the second gauge we received, unfortunately the first one was shipped with little or no packing and was received bent. The return and replacement was done quickly. It was reasonably priced compared to others that were similar.

After a frustrating time grilling a Brisket with only the installed thermometer near the top of the lid I decided to drill and mount a separate thermometer at grill grate level to see what the meat was actually being exposed to. There was nearly a 60° difference (lower) at the grill surface when using indirect heat cooking methods, like for Brisket. This is a huge difference when you are maintaining 200-205° and your only at 140 actual at the meat.

Out of the box they read just like pictures show about 100+ degrees on 70 degree day
