Good Prep Work Required
I decided to refinish my two fiberglass tubs and shower surrounds. I was intimated to start because I was scared I was going to mess it up or make mistakes. And I did. The first shower I did didn't turn out the best, but it looks better than was. After that learning curve, the second tub turned out much nicer because I knew what to avoid. My key takeaways:- Good prep work makes the job much easier. A good scrubbing and sanding goes a long way in a nice end product. After you scrub and you think you got all the soap scum off, keep scrubbing.- Add floor protection even if you think you don't need it. I added paper and some plastic and I was glad I did because there's splatter and some minor spills. Without that I would have had a mess.- Tape. The first tub I used green frog tape and I thought it did an ok job. I left the tape on too long and it was ridiculously difficult to remove it once the paint hardened. The second tub I used blue 3M and it worked much better. Easier to remove and cleaner lines.- Gloves and paper towels. I had plenty of both and found them necessary because it's potentially messy.- The mixing stick provided is weak and broke. I used a painting stick from the hardware store.Other comments... The 4x6 card that comes with the product is a joke. The QR code and YouTube link that's supposed to direct users to the instructional video doesn't work - the video doesn't exist. Speaking of videos, there's so many, it's confusing. It's unclear which is needed for your product of choice and there are updates, FAQs, etc.... too many choices in my opinion. To the seller. - While the YouTube videos are useful to get an understanding of what to do and how to do it, I think what's needed is this: Post one instructional video for each product on your website. Post FAQ on your website. Save YouTube for cool before and after videos. I think you have a great product, you just need solid marketing support and professionally produced videos.

Great product.
After reading some of these reviews I was very skeptical on buying it. Everyone saying it's tacky, not durable etc. I can say with pure confidence that this product was the best purchase I've made in a while. Although I will say it's not very forgiving, if you apply it make sure it's on a day that you can babysit it for at least 4 hours. I have some fish eyes that I could have caught had I not applied it at 1am which is entirely my fault and I own that. It has been 2 weeks of very rigorous use (3 kids, my wife and I) and it has held up beautifully so far. The color and shine to this product is outstanding. It has hardly any smell to it, the caulking smelled worse and lasted longer than the tub glaze which is incredible in itself, super easy to apply and prepare. All in all a fantastic product and IF I ever need to redo it this will be my go to. Thank you!! I was gonna go cheap but am ever grateful that I didn't.

Buyer Beware - the WHITE kit I purchased turned out IVORY
A total shame this product was not as advertised after spending 4 days of homework, arduous prep, & application. The product dried to a nice glossy finish - unfortunately that was IVORY & not the WHITE I ordered. IF YOU ORDERED WHITE & YOUR PART B APPEARS NEARLY ORANGE THEN STOP & CONTACT THE SELLER!! I had not used this product before & the hardener in all 4 sets (parts A & B pairs) was the same orange color - mixing looked like a caramel sundae. I wondered how it could finish as true white & my husband asked what was wrong with it, but we are on a deadline to get our house on the market so had to forge ahead. After emailing the seller with questions after the fact I was told this discoloration was due to oxidation. I told them that is strange for a closed bottle of product that is supposed to have a 2 year shelf life. The pros: I can say the dried finish looks great, & online reviews say it is the most durable finish for this purpose. The cons: it cost me $216 for a double set of kits to cover our free standing shower; prep is extensive & takes much longer than described if you are new to this; enclosed directions lacked crucial information for application. The biggest issue there is the self-leveling agent & drying time. I watched the company's more extensive FAQ video after the fact since was looking for how soon I needed to remove the edge taping done during prep. There I found out that the SELF LEVELING AGENT IN THE PRODUCT EVAPORATES OUT AFTER 1 HOUR SO THERE IS A TICKING CLOCK ON THE PRODUCT AFTER MIXING. I took my time & went slowly only to see my orange peel finish on the front of my shower pan spread out like a zombie apocalypse hit it. That was the last area covered as I worked my way out of the shower. I simply could have left 1/2 the batch in the covered jar as I applied the first 1/2. Instead I had to spend a 1/2 hour trying to fix it after letting the product get sticky enough that it wouldn't run. Other reviews noted that people did touch ups well after initial completion. Just know that it may work well on the bottom of your tub/shower since gravity will do the leveling for you, but may not be effective for the vertical surfaces. So my ratings explained:Overall = 1 since this is the most expensive product available for this purpose & it has totally messed up my black/white design in which all other elements are already purchased;Easy To Use = 3 since prep is horrible but the product itself is easy enough to roll on evenly if you have any experience doing regular paintingDurability = unrated since the shower is still unused & way too early to knowDrying Power = 5 since drying time was consistent with description & has hardened to a nice finish
