Great coffee maker for camping or outdoor use!
First off, let's get the latest issue out of the way. I purchased this item at retail from Amazon and have not been compensated, reimbursed or credited in any way. Now on to the review. I purchased this item as a portable coffee maker for camping. With that use in mind, here are some of the points I liked about this coffee maker.1. It worked as advertised. Using this item to make French Press coffee was a snap. The double filter reliably screened out grounds, as long as you followed recommendations about how much water to use.(High water marks are stamped in the stainless steel interior and are easy to see and use).2. The stainless steel vacuum bottle portion of the coffee maker allowed the beverage to remain hot for multiple hours. I had hot coffee through the course of the day.3. The lid was easy to drink through.4. The build quality seems to be very good. I haven't had any issues with any of the plastic or rubber items not functioning as they are intended. There were a couple of items that I found a bit frustrating though. They were:1. Having to have a separate lid you had to find, keep handy and screw on if you wanted this item to seal and not leak if it was tipped over. Not a deal breaker, but an extra step and an extra piece to keep around if you wanted to throw this coffee maker into a bag and have leaks not happen.2. Due to the double seal, cleanup was a bit more involved that what you would see in a standard French Press pot.Overall, this item was a gem for what I wanted it for. Hot, flavorful French Press coffee to sip on while camping, and no cold coffee!

Great press.
This French press tumbler cup is amazing. Small yet versatile and so easy to use and clean. Pour your coffee grounds in wait 4 minutes, press and done! You get your favorite coffee super fast. Seems well made and you can’t beat that for the price.

Meh it’s ok…
Update 11/21: I’m changing it to 4 stars. This thing grew on me after awhile. Still a bit pricey with some design flaws, but I like it now. We just needed to figure out the ratios to our liking. We put about 2 TBS of freshly ground coffee and it seems to work just fine. Still it’s not an expresso kind of coffee but more of an americano. We are using this more as it gets colder and we find the coffee to be pretty good. We pour the coffee out into a cup though like pitcher. We added our warm milk to the coffee cup. I can not see letting the coffee sitting for so long, so I would say take it to work and use it in the morning, but don’t let it sit all day. Although it did stay rather warm when I realized there was some coffee left over later in the day. Of course it was bitter! So I wouldn’t recommend keeping the coffee for a few hours letting it brew. Unless your are into bitter off tasting coffee (no judgement). It’s actually fine and good quality. But I recommend pouring the brewed coffee into a cup then add all your preferences. Let it brew for at least 3 min or longer though. I said the coffee was bad, but after i figured out the rations with some good fresh beans, it’s actually quite nice. But you still can’t do expresso in here!So I take it back, it’s not a bad item if you want americano kind of coffee. Just wish it was a little less expensive.Earlier review: I mean it’s ok, but it’s not great. I guess this will be nice for someone who makes just regular american coffee. But if you want expresso then this isn’t right for you. This doesn’t seem to leak, so it would be good for a trip (but I wouldn’t trust it in my bag) and it’s sturdy so far and nice looking item. No coffee grounds in the coffee, which is nice. But I can see this has some design flaws. These are the ones I noticed. First it’s difficult to pull back up once you push the plunger down, but I suppose why would need to pull it back up once you add coffee and water. Also I noticed a lot of extra good coffee liquid gets stuck under the plunger (see photos), so it’s sort of wasteful. It doesn’t leave much space if you wanted to add milk either, you would have to open it and pull the plunger back up (which I tried but the coffee again was still pretty bad). I suppose you can pour it on the top. If you want bad 7/11 coffee this is right for you jajajaja. Someone else pointed out the coffee will keep brewing and then leave you with bitter even more gross tasting coffee.

Holds the temperature!
Takes some “getting used to”. But, it is worth the wait! Very impressed with the long time the container holds the temperature 😊

Amazing travel press
I love it, makes great coffee, no mud and I don't even use the paper filters it comes with!!! This is amazing for the constant traveler. I use a travel kettle and small bottle of cream (or powdered if I have to) and I make my own coffee past security at the airport. I have to travel at least twice a month for my job and I was looking for a way to make my own coffee at the airport so I did not have to miss out if the line was long at coffee place or turbulence on the flight (no drink service). Now I have a leek proof cup that can come on the plane and be there hot and delicious whenever the hankering hits me (stays hot for at least 4 hours). I know it sounds complicated but honestly the whole process takes less than 5 minutes which is at least how long you stand in line to get a crappy cup of coffee in a cup that can't be stuffed into the pocket in front of you on the airplane. After filling up my water bottle and my travel kettle at the water fountain, I stand at a laptop/ cell phone charging bar and wait 2 minutes for the travel kettle to boil (Bonavita travel kettle), I pour over the coffee (pour small amount cold water to cool off kettle, my charging station is conveniently located near a drinking fountain, if yours is not, just take a little water from bottle, move it around in the kettle and toss extra water in garbage can, kettle cools off very easily), put the lid on with press up and walk to my gate. I press down and add cream and sugar, screw on lid tight, shake up and down several times and good to go! I love that it has nothing to throw away filter wise and NEVER leaks! This thing is the best travel coffee maker you could find.
