This product is used for stewing leaf tea or ground coffee. Just put the leaf tea or ground coffee inside it and pour the hot water onto it. It’s for a reasonable price too. Then have it black or with milk and sugar.

I have been using tea bags for years, but as a drinker of black tea I have become increasingly frustrated of late with a layer of 'scum' on my tea, stained cups and a teapot that had to be continually cleaned out. I live in an extremely hard water area and have spent a small fortune on water filter cartridges, changing them long before they should need changing, descaling the kettle every week, but still scummy looking tea.Then somebody suggested I change to loose tea because they understood that this scum was actually due to the tea bags themselves. I had previously bought The Tea Tool which I still think is brilliant if you can find teabags that don't leave residue behind.Having no means of easily emptying tea leaves from the pot I started looking around for a solution. I have found one - the Finum Brewing Basket. What a revelation. The tea is crystal clear, tastes fresh and "alive" and the tea leaves are easily disposed of in the rubbish bin. So a Finum Brewing Basket and Yorkshire Gold loose tea have solved a long-standing problem. Being a good quality tea there is no dust to seep through the exceptionally fine mesh, so when I get to the bottom of the cup there are no dregs.It's just as well I don't take milk or sugar in my tea as I now enjoy my cuppa even more than ever, I'm drinking twice as much!This medium size basket is perfectly adequate to use with my teapot (8cm across) beause I use such a small amount of tea (less than a teaspoon per 1 litre teapot) as I like it very weak, but for those who would be using 3/4/5 teaspoons of leaves I would suggest opting for the larger size basket to give a little more room for the tea leaves to expand.

These small baskets have been brilliantly designed. They will fit almost any cup or mug and have a raised bump at the end of each handle to stop them sliding too far for the larger mugs. The lid helps keep (tea or) coffee warm whilst brewing and then used as a stand it is a convenient way of avoiding drips while the grounds drain. Disposing of the coffee grounds is then much easier than scraping them out. Just a quick tap and they're gone.I have used all sorts of coffee making gadgets but these are by far the best.

Purchased these as a bit of a gamble as I get fed up using the Cafeteria or other pour over devices I have. These are actually quite handy and very easy to use, no need to worry about topping up slowly etc... One thing I have found is that they can leave a ring of coffee dust around the mug, but if you pour the water into the mug first, put the coffee in the basket and lower into the water, this limits the amount of dust you get.Convenient and easy to use.

I have now got rid of all other types of tea strainers and only use these - they are great!I gave up using teabags (because of the plastic used in them), but making just a mugful with loose tea used to be a bit of a faff, because inevitably bits of leaf escaped. I won't say that none ever escapes these filters, but it's usually user error rather than any defect in the item!They are more rigid than similar plastic mesh ones, so easier to clean and they maintain their shape better.They fit a standard mug well, and they also fit into most teapots. If the teapot lid doesn't fit over the filter, the plastic lid/saucer provided is excellent for keeping the tea warm in a pot until it's brewed and for acting as a drip-catching saucer once you take the filter out of the mug or pot.

I'm trying to go as plastic free as possible, so stopping using tea bags. It took me a while to find decaf loose tea, but when I did I purchased this twin pack of infusers. They are brilliant! No bags, no dust in the bottom of my mug, easy to clean ...... just perfect. I tip the used leaves on the garden so nothing goes in the bin. Yes, they are partly plastic, but will hopefully last for many years. I'm about to order another pack, as my partner likes them for his coffee. By the way, the Brew Tea Company loose tea, available online and from Waitrose, comes in a cardboard box with a cellophane bag inside that can go in with the garden waste. It's not suitable for home composting, but fine for industrial.

Have to slightly downgrade my initial review (below) after using these for about a year. They end up not being easy to clean after a while, as they clog up after time - I do let my tea brew for about 10mins, but after the first filter clogged up I started making sure I empty&rinse it as soon as I take it out of my cup. I've soaked them in bicarb & hot water, then scrubbed, which helps for a while, but then it clogs up fairly quickly again. Not ideal, especially as I swapped to loose tea to avoid plastic waste. So I might swap to stainless steel.Really impressed.I ended up with a tin of loose tea, and when I ran out of tea bags ordered these.Fit my mugs perfectly, no tea leaves in my tea, and really easy to clean. Will be sticking to loose tea.

This really is the best tea strainer I've used. I've tried others that look like they would be better with all stainless designs (those puppies get hot), or even some stainless with a silicone ring, but somehow they are all more awkward than this model. I've even have strainer baskets from a posh London shop known for its teas and gourmet items, and this one is the one I always grab.This one is a tad more compact than most while still allowing for good water circulation. Normally I prefer stainless over plastic, but this one is comfortable to pick up, and the lid is deep enough to catch the drips when you set the basket on it while you drink your tea (some are too shallow and it's easy to slosh the drips). Most of the mesh baskets on others get more tea stuck in them than this one. On this one, even if you leave it out overnight and the tea dries on, you can soak it for a minute and everything will wash away with a gentle swipe of your fingers. On others, I usually have to pull out a brush even after soaking (obviously, don't leave it out overnight, but unless you're OCD, it happens from time to time).I am ordering these again, not because mine have gone bad (my first set was purchased in 2014, and they still work great after a decade), but I don't want my daughter to steal mine away while she's at college. I also have a set at my mum's that I purchased at some point because I don't want to use other styles.

Me parecieron de muy buena calidad, llegaron en buen estado, la malla no deja pasar nada así que los tés quedan sin residuos.

Diese Teefilter sind wirklich super! Deutlich besser als diese Blechsiebe! Bei diesem 2er-Pack stimmt auch der Preis im Gegensatz zu dem einzelnen Filter!
