Disney outing(see Pollyanna for that) this isn't terrible, just not as entertaining as most of her other movies! RP

Came very quickly and perfect packaging. My favorite movies are in perfect condition.

The Disney studio production of the Moon-Spinners is outstanding with multiple benefits for viewing. Disney had a positive reputation forhumanitarian efforts also. On the Island of Crete, the town where this movie is produced was severely damaged during the War. The Disney studio shipped in several thousand sheets of plywood, lumber and other building supplies which rebuilt that town. Also, in Crete, thereis the historic Temple of Apollo and other items of great interest in this movie. Another feature in this movie is the use of culture in whichCrete dancing, musical instruments and costumes are very educational. Eli Wallach acting as a jewel thief adds to Hitchcock-like intrigue with a Disney touch by adding Hayley Mills as an unsuspecting English tourist who is caught up in the mystery thriller with a flair of comedy complete with a passion for jewels and pet cheetahs as surprise companions. This is one of the great Disney Classics.

I have always love that movie but only had it on vhs which my machine will not play anymore. I coould not to watch it. Had a wonderful evening.

Les jeunes gens échappent même par deux fois à une tentative de meurtre.

This is good, family viewing set in a lovely area of Crete (Elounda) that has expanded out of all recognition since the film was shot there in 1964.It features a wronged bank official (Peter McEnery), seeking to clear his name by implicating the person whom he perceives to be the thief (Eli Wallach) of a bank client's jewels in London.Arriving at the same small hotel in the Village, run by the Sister (Irene Papas) of the thief, is an Aunt (Joan Greenwood) and her Niece (Hayley Mills), the former recording local folk songs in Greece for the BBC.There are many adventures experienced along the way by the former banker and the young tourist including a shooting, imprisonment, pursuit, treachery and even a little romance until the final, exciting conclusion on board the yacht of an eccentric millionairess when the villian gets his just deserts.The acting is good and the Cretan scenery stunning and the viewer is left on the edge of their seat until the final monents.

ディズニーの秘蔵ッ子スター、ヘイリー・ミルズと、ピーター・マッケナリーが一番輝いていた頃の作品。共演者に、伝説のスター、ルドルフ・ヴァレンティノの最後の恋人だったサイレント時代の女優ポーラ・ネグり。ディズニー映画らしい健全さに、マッケナリーのイギリス的翳りと、ネグりのおどろおどろしいハリウッドバビロンの世界がからんで、なかなかに見ごたえのある作品に仕上がっています。観光映画としても楽しめる一級の娯楽作品です。
