Very comfortable, great value
This chair is my favourite purchase of all the baby related products I bought so far. It has been serving me superbly during pregnancy as well as with my newborn (I have a 3 weeks old baby).Especially in the last months of pregnancy when I had difficulty sleeping, this chair was the only comfortable place I could get some good rest (putting a pillow behind my back, which is not necessary anymore after giving birth). During pregnancy, many times I found myself sleeping better in this chair than in my bed. I used it a lot even in the middle of the night as I could not get a good night sleep in bed where I usually just turned from one side to the other in discomfort. Now that I have my baby, I am happy to note that it functions really well in its original purpose too - for nursing. The arms are just the right height to hold the baby without the need of a nursing pillow, and the pockets on the sides are very useful to have so there is no need to get up or stretch out while feeding to access my phone, a book, or a bib. With regards to material quality, I read some reviewers were disappointed but I really can't see why. Comparing this chair to others I have seen and tried in shops I couldn't see any difference. It feels safe and stable, rocks silently and looks good in the room, in my opinion.Assembly was not easy though, it took us for a while.I am sure once the nursing time is over I will still happily use this chair for relaxing or watching tv, moreover, I am afraid I will have to 'fight' over it with my husband, as he loves sitting in it too... :)

Super chair
For a year and a half we'd rocked our son to sleep in a traditional old fashioned rocking chair which we were quite happy with. When the rocker finally died (it was very old), we bought this as a replacement as our little man still likes being rocked to sleep from time to time. I really, really wish I'd bought it sooner! It is, by far, one of the comfiest chairs I have ever sat in. After my husband built the chair (which didn't take very long and was very easy), I was most put out it was going in the toddler's room. It really should be in the living room where I can sit in it much more frequently. Rocking the little one to sleep is much more comfortable and, since we are more comfortable, our child relaxes more quickly usually too. My teenage niece runs straight to the chair when she visits too, when the chair finally makes its way downstairs there will be fights over who gets it! The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because I am slightly concerned about the fact my son will soon be able to climb out of his cot and I'm now wishing I'd bought the chair with the braking mechanism. If anyone has any ideas about preventing it from rocking when not in use please let me know! I'm planning on experimenting with a number of household items soon (bike lock, safety catches for cupboards etc...).

SUPERB CHAIR!!
Bought this for myself, I was at friends and she had one (neither of us has babies!) but she inherited hers from her daughter who bought 2 as they were so comfortable. this chair is so beautifully made as well as being the most comfortable chair to sit on, and great value for something so well made. maybe buying another for my sister. Thank you

good reading or nursing chair
We bought this chair primarily as a nursing chair but with baby not due for six months it served as a chair for general use. We have it in our garden room alongside wicker furniture. It looks great and provides a very chilled out chair for reading. With the adjustable back it can be set at whatever angle is comfortable. It is also easy to get in and out of. At six months pregnant now (chair has been with us for three months now) I'm finding it harder to get in and out of chairs but this one is still very easy. The favourite chair when we have friends round - but of course I get first shout on it!The only downsides I can see are the back height is a little low so you cannot comfotably rest your head back whilst sitting properly - you would need to slouch down and wouldn't benefit so much from the chairs good design in terms of back support. Not ideal for napping in.Also as to change the angle of recline you need to use two hands which will be tricky when nursing. However, overall I think this chair is well worth the money and would get a second one for our lounge if we could afford it!

Fine but cheap fabric
What you pay for is what you get. In this case, I do feel that you actually get good value for your money. The only downside to the chair is the fabric which is quite cheap to touch, but I will by some fabric that fits better with the nusery anyway, and it is quite simple to sow a cover to put over the original fabric.

This chair and stool are excellent as individual items but in my opinion the rocking motion of the chair doesnt coincide well when your using the rocking stool alongside it. However good quality item. Great removeable covers. Bit fiddly to put together but well worth the price i paid for it. Takes up quite a bit of room too.

The squeakiest chair on the block!
I bought this chair for the arrival of my son purposely for breastfeeding and soothing him, sadly I have been unable to use it at all.- Within a fortnight (before even my son's birth) it had started to creak when rocked.- After a month the sound was unbearable, it was impossible to use with my baby and sounded like nails on a blackboard.- The reclining mechanism is nothing more than a hinge.- Sawdust forms around the base of the chair from the friction from the squeaking wooden support struts. As a positive note, the seller was exceptionally efficient and the chair arrived very quickly. The chair was also cheaper than anything we could find locally.

Comfy but low quality
This chair is very comfortable once assembled but overall quality is lacking, it would be better spending a bit more to get a higher quality one.
