Clear footage, Quick setup, Easy use
This camera and company are awesome! The app is beautiful, and the functionality is amazing. Since it is wireless, it can be set up in minutes, and with a solar panel plugged in, I never have to charge it even with only a few hours of indirect sunlight a day. The app can differentiate between people, pets, and vehicles. You can set no detection zones and detection by size of object. You can talk through it. You can have the light kick on with motion at night or not. You can change how long it records after detecting motion. It truly is an amazing system, and it is nice to have your own local storage while also being able to see through your cameras from anywhere in the world. I had Arlo for years, but I am glad I switched to a more commercial type product once I needed an upgrade.

Great camera
Clear image, and the solar panel maintain the battery very well, charged the camera once out of the box and never have to charge it again, the solar panel is doing it’s job, will going strong after 2 years, the image quality is great,

Disappointed – Slow Motion Detection, Charging Issues, and Unhelpful Support
I purchased the Reolink Argus 3 Ultra 4K along with two Argus PT Ultra 4K cameras. While I appreciated that Reolink doesn't require a subscription like Arlo, the performance has been a major letdown—especially when compared to my ten Arlo cameras, some of which have been running flawlessly for over a decade. In real-world side-by-side use, the Argus 3 fails to detect motion quickly enough. For instance, when my cat exits the doggie door, the Reolink starts recording only after he’s already out, while the Arlo Essential XL begins capturing as the motion starts. That delay makes the Reolink unreliable for anything requiring prompt detection.Adding to the frustration, the Argus 3 also won't charge using the included solar panel, even though the other two Reolink cameras charge just fine using the same setup—suggesting this is a hardware defect specific to the unit. When I contacted Reolink support, I expected help or at least a potential replacement. Instead, I received a canned technical explanation about PIR motion detection limitations that essentially dismissed my concerns. Their response boiled down to: “This is how the camera works, and it’s the same with everyone else.” In other words, they acknowledged the problem but took no real responsibility for it. They offered only a partial refund, which felt like a weak concession rather than a solution. If you’re looking for dependable motion detection, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. If this is Reolink’s idea of acceptable performance and customer support, I won’t be buying from them again.

Great Camera, maybe not as waterproof as it should be? Excellent customer service
I have been a Reolink user since 2017, when I installed a full POE kit at home. I have since bought heavily into the Reolink environment, both at home and work (I work in tech). I have all of it, NVRs, Wireless, Turrets, Floodlights - everything but the doorbell. I'm very pleased with the quality and functionality of the brand. This was the first camera that gave me a problem. Functionality wise I enjoyed it, the solar panel worked great and kept it fully charged, the lens was perfect for my use case (shed mounted, away from my house) and the wi-fi signal worked surprisingly well. It integrated into the app seamlessly and could be viewed alongside all of my POE and other battery cameras. The problem came when this model recently stopped working. To my surprise I found water had managed to get beyond the seal on the swith/micro sd/ usb cover. The build quality is generally superb so I was really surprised. I will submit a warranty claim and update this review.***UPDATE***I didn't even get to the warranty claim before Reolink reached out and offered to replace the entire unit free of charge. That is excellent customer service. I've increased the review to 4 stars until i have a chance to install the new camera and test it for a while. It really is a great camera.

Good camera
The camera is great but I knocked it down to 3 stars because this is the 2nd solar panel I have right out of the box that puts out nothing as far as power goes for the camera. I ended up buying a long USB cable to plug the camera into an outlet. The camera itself is great and has a light that comes on when motion is detected which my older Argus cameras do not have. Video quality is good.Edit after dealing with Reolink customer support (Sandy):Reolink wanted to make things right and I explained I had already run power from an outlet and a USB cable to my cameras so a new solar panel wasn’t necessary. Sandy credited back $30 to my card which is more than fair in my opinion. Very easy to deal with their customer support and other companies should take notes on taking care of their customers like Reolink. I will say this, if any of my Reolink cameras quit working, I’ll be replacing them with another Reolink camera. So far none of the cameras have failed me at all in several years.

Closed access only access through app. No Web interface, RTSP or ONVIF.
I am really disappointed in this for the cost. It only works with the Reolink app, no web interface, no access to ports for ONVIF or RTSP so ZERO nitration with anything but their app. The solar panel cant keep up with the activity - it is not in the most sunny spot so it must need some direct sunlight for some time to charge. It is a great non-tech person who wants a totally wireless option and has access to some good direct sunlight but for me is is basically junk.

Motion detection not the greatest
I bought this to replace a ring camera i had at my gate. The picture quality is better and being able to detect person, vehicle, or animal is nice.Vehicle detection is hit or miss. The biggest downside to this camera is the wifi. The wifi in this camera is awful. It takes forever to load and half the time it won't even load at all. The ring spot light cam Disney have this issue, mounted in the same location. Also, the solar charger seems to barely be able to keep up. If cloudy for s couple days I'll have to take the camera down to charge it.
