Perfect solution if you have one cable from one room to other, but you need 2 cables
It works perfectly. I have one ethernet cable from one room to other, but it was necessary to have 2 cables. As you know in ethernet cable there is 8 wires, but for internet only 4 is used. So this device allows you to "split" these wires into 2 groups (GROUP_1 with wires 1, 2, 3, 4 and GROUP_2 with wires 5, 6, 7, 8. So from switch you can take 2 cables, connect them into left and right sockets, after this connect ethernet cable (from wall) to single socket... and do the same from other side (in other room, connect cable from wall into single socket and connect 2 devices into left and right sockets. As a result you will extend 2 ports from your switch from one room to other, but using 1 ethernet cable (in wall). It works exactly as it is shown on seller's photos.

Did not work for me
Bought the 2-pack, neither passed internet through. Tried multiple cables, different ports, etc.

Literally doesn’t work
This doesn’t work as a splitter, it only allows connection through ONE OF THE PORTS, This product blatantly doesn’t work for its intended use and clearly doesn’t work for a lot of other people. Don’t waste your money

DO NOT BUY
This product does not split modern Ethernet since the technology is based on a different wiringAnd usage of the wiring. If you are trying to turn 1 Ethernet port into more than 1 connection; you need a Ethernet switch not a splitter. Available for about 20 bucks on amazon or Walmart. DO NOT BUY THIS.
