I loooooved this flick
Zombies are all the rage these days with movies ranging 28 days later and Shaun of the dead. Zombie Planet breeds new territory mixed with old to bring an original sense of style. Kane is the new guy in the living dead neighborhood. He is taken by what is known as dregs and claims he has no clue what has happened to him before he joined them. Adam, is the head of a group that call themselves the Upper Class, who are nothing but a bunch of crooks and lowlives. Kane of course makes trouble with Adam and that makes Adam worried that he could be a threat to him and his community. George Bonilla writes and directs this fun and entertaining zombie thrill ride. Now I will be honest it did have a few slow points and a few lines of dialogue that belonged in a cheesy 80 movie but I think it made it more fun. You never really knew where the movie was gonna go. It just took off on its own and by the end you were truly rooting that Kane won. However nobody won or lost because here's the catch... it's to be continued. Though have no fear it leaves in such a way that you can't wait to see the next one. Yep you can call George Bonilla the Zombie version of George Lucas. Not sure if there would be a third Zombie Planet but we know for sure there is going to be a second one. Don't want to spoil that much but even the back of the cover on the DVD says there is going to be a sequel and you can see 3 minutes or so of a teaser for it. It looks exciting and I can't wait for his next movies. Great job George!

A worst of the worst trilogy
To anyone reading this.I ordered this trilogy "Zombie Planet Trilogy" because of the title; I am a avid Zombie movie collector.I have a vast collection of Zombie DVD's and this one and its title fit in perfectly to that collection. But after watching the set, I must say WOW! I wasted my time and money. The script in this movie is horrible; some tried to skate into the zombie ring and fell instantly and got eaten. The sound is way off from the movie, the words the actors speak are softly, and the background music overtakes that, thus you need to turn the volume up to hear the words but get too much loudness from the treble and bass. The zombies are unrealistic and actually fight back as if they were drunk and in a honky-tonk bar, at one point you can hear someone dialing out on a phone in the background of the set.The makeup is horrible, the acting is just as bad, I never heard of zombies being afraid of the daylight... I thought that was a vampire thing. The lighting of the movie really needs to be adjusted, there are some dark scenes that you need a flashlight for and it wouldn't matter if you had one.. What you're watching would suck anyway.Any action/fight scenes in the movie were so obviously fake you need to skip them with your remote. The location being filmed is an abandoned housing project, and an even dirtier closed city set.I turned it off after the first movie, and didn't make it to the 2nd one, or the 3rd.Needless to say, as an avid zombie DVD collection collector... Owning at current every zombie movie ever made and having watched them as well, this has to be the worst zombie movie I have seen since Zombiez.Bad zombies and bad makeup, No hot chicks, no cool guns, no boobs no ass, no nudity whatsoever, No fast cars or good food, WTF?Listen to me please, Don't waste your money... Buy something else.

Needs More Zombie Action!!!
This movie has a okay plot but just some really bad actors. The acting below average the set is good but the actors need help. It just seems to drag on with little action. I really thought this movie would take off but it just stood their the whole time. I'm really surprised there is going to be a second one. I paid $17.00 Dollars for this I really wish I did'nt. There are better films out their I suggest take a chance on something else.

Overlong with some good gore FX
The plot of this film is nothing special. You've got the world overrun by zombies, and then there's the good guys and the bad guys; the good in one area and the bad in another. So the good group has the evil ones to worry about, and there's the zombies that only come out at night. This is basically a slow-paced film that is overlong, lacking overall with lots of zombies, has poor scenery, no nudity, is talky in parts, and it needs more effective atmosphere. Most of the film takes place in these 2 locations with the good guys being sometimes attacked and harassed by the evil group, and there's the zombies that the walk the earth at night. The directing is decent, and it has some nice and gory practical effects; there's some good FX work here. However, I wanted a more action-packed film. The film uses practical gore effects instead of CGI, and I liked some of the gore scenes. There's a little bit of suspense in some parts when they must remain indoors at night because the zombies emerge, but they could've done a lot more with these sequences and made them more claustrophobic and suspenseful; it fails to gain any of the suspense and claustrophobia that is present in some of Romero's films. Some parts in the film are really good and gory, but it gets boring at times; it's unnecessary for the film to be that long with some parts that are just filler. The DVD quality is good, and it's in full screen.

Zombie Planet is Fun
Zombie Planet Stays true to the Zombie Genre. It is Fun and action packed with very good make-up effects. Most of the planet has died as a result of a drug made to reduce carbo craves, people taking the drug turn into flesh eating zombies. the hero, "Kane" a nomad, fights his way through a city of zombies to save an outcast group of people known as the dregs. Kane does battle with the "Upper Class" leader, Adam, who controls the walled "safe zone"...all hell breaks loose, and plenty of blood. If you like zombie movies, you'll like Zombie Planet. New-comer Frank Farhat does a great job as the mysterious Kane, and Matt Perry plays the evil Adam.great special effects by Sven Granlund and Linda Goforth. Zombie Planet has won an award for "Best Special Effects", at the NY Independant Film feastival in 2003
