Works well
I had received a couple of Large Cleavers on Vine the week before and My wife mentioned that we need some sheaths or Covers for them as they are very large and super sharp. I was pretty sure this wouldn't magicly match the size but I have done some leather work in the far past and have some scraps laying around. The quality of the Sheath is great it's nice and Think and stiff enough to protect the blade and your fingers when rooting around the Drawer. I did have to split the top as the ones we have are too wide but a little added leather with some CA glue and it's like it was made for the Cleaver.

Does not fit a 7 inch cleaver
This item is too narrow for a 7-inch cleaver.

This smells horrible!
This knife sheath is not real leather. It is made of synthetic leather and it smells horrible!!I gave my son a knife and this knife sheath. It smelled so bad he did not use it.I missed the return date, so I will be throwing this away.

Good Belt Loop Design
I can't say for certain whether this is real leather or not, but otherwise this seems a good sheath for the knife that will fit it.Be aware that the roughly 7" length of the sheath (from snap to end) does include the stitching at the end- on other words, it's the EXTERIOR measurement, so I'd suggest planning on this fitting a knife blade no longer than 6.5 or maybe 6.75 inches to ensure a fit, at least for the part the snap will go over. One thing I appreciate about this sheath is the belt loop- it loops/folds before it rivets into the main body, meaning less direct pressure will be on the rivet which should (I think) result in less strain/stretching on the sheath material, resulting in a longer life for the sheath. Thanks!
