Goldfaber Aqua Watercolour Pencil
I bought two colours from this range to 'try & see', as my preferred brand is currently out of stock and I urgently needed them for a Mediterranean-themed project, namely this blue shade 151, called 'HELIOBLUE REDDISH' and 109/DARK CHROME YELLOW , an orangey-yellow shade.I am quite impressed with their performance. The core lays down a reasonably strong colour in both cases, without too much effort, and each is easy to 'wash' with a paintbrush, in my experience.‘Made in Germany’, each hexagonal-barrelled pencil is around 17 cm in length and comes ready to use with a good 'point'. The barrel is a mid-grey shade with a dipped coloured end similar to the shade of the core, to aid easy selection. The colour code is on the pencil; the colour name is not. They sharpen well with a regular-hole size, quality sharpener, and, due to the soft core, do need a fair bit, also in my experience. They each came in a plastic-type sheath with the bar code on that rather than the pencil, and in a sturdy cardboard outer.[11 images attached]

Broke inside and can not sharpen.
Beautiful colour and wonderful watercolour effect, but it feel down once and now its all broken inside. Tip breaks off when I sharpen it. I suspect it needs to be used with extra extra care!

Awful shade ...looks brown
Awful, Looks more brown than red....quality was terrible every time I tried to sharpen it the wood in pencil split and I tried 4 different sharpeners which work great with other pencilsAm very surprised and disappointed as Faber castell pencils are usually great quality

Work well
Works pretty well. My daughter's white pencil was wearing down and is doing a big project. Price wise buying them like this isn't cost effective but as she only needed one colour for now this was the best option.

easy to handle
Great product so versatile and is less mess than using watercolour paints blends well with other colours when applied to give a lighter shade.

Good quality pencil but...
I just gave a 4 stars because the pencil was not protected when received. It was just shoved like that into the amazon card sleeve with an other item. It could have been broken easily. The nib was already damaged when opened.Except that Faber-Castell is always good quality as usual.

Seems ok but it's just a pencil

Exactly what it should be
Exactly what my son needed when his other black watercolour pencils were down to the tips only. Perfect
