Bad fit. Worse than plastic.
Either the mold is bad or something isn't right because these bind and as others have noted with similar products the eject buttons stick halfway. Basically worse than broken plastic buckles, they slide right off.

These Actually Work!
There are several different companies that are manufacturing these metal lock buckles. The first set I bought (made by another company - not this one), didn't help with ensuring the Joy-Con controllers stayed in place.I returned the first ones I purchased and bought these instead. These really do work! If you're going to go down this road, I would feel good about recommending them!

Works great
Worked perfectly. Was concerned cause few reviews existed on this type of product and what I could find was a concern for the metal pieces being correctly sized. That was not a problem. Manufacturer provided tools that worked great, and clips went in without problems. I removed these on my little brothers joycons cause they weren’t clipping well anymore, the original plastic had chunks broken off. That should be pretty difficult to do again.

Finally! A solution!
these things really help lock the joycons now. It was easy to take apart and put them on. I also like that they came with the right tools and 2 extra locks.
