Great start to this new series
First in a new series, and it’s off to a great start. I loved this one and am looking forward to the next book.Jessie is not in a great place. However she’s determined to hang on and weather the storm. The last thing she expected was to get a hero in the grumpy stranger stranded in town.Aiden is a loner and is looking forward to some quiet time before his next family job. He’s far from home and being stuck in this nowhere town is not making him happy. It’s not in his nature to interfere. However, he just can’t seem to help himself with Jessie’s situation. This is a slow burn, plenty of action story. I loved how this couple came to the realisation they needed each other, and then Aiden’s realisation that he is more dimensional than he sees himself. There is however more going on in the town than they realise, and they just might not get their HEA.I received a review reader’s copy of the book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily

Aiden & Jessi
This book opens a new series but features a side character from previous books. There was the slow burn I expect from Hannah Shield and the suspense too. Though Aiden & Jessi don't have long to get to know each other the connection & chemistry shows, the non romance side accelerates the urgency and they are focused on making the most of the time.I'm really intrigued by Trace & have added his book to my TBR already.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I just love Hannah Shield's stories!
Jessi is one determined lady, sticking to her guns in spite of her ex's family treating her like dirt. Aiden, a total stranger, stood up for her when two of the ex's cousins turn up.There are a few storylines running throughout this book, twists and turns. Throw in a bridge collapsing, weather and so much more makes this a really good whodunnit!I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A great first in the series from Hannah, looking forward to the next one.
Jessi stood up to the bully and her ex when he assaulted her, and she ended in hospital, he went to prison, but now he's due out and his cousins are making her life a misery.Aidan is on his way to a cabin for a week's break when an accident closes a bridge and derails his plans. He decides to get off the road and find somewhere to have something to eat.He goes to Jessi's diner, and is there when her ex's cousins harass her, trying to get her to leave town. He stands up for her and ends up staying the night downstairs in the diner, rather than sleep in his car. But there's more going on than they had first thought. Is the uncle involved? If so how? What is going on up the mountain? Can Aidan keep her safe?I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

So good
This is so good and addictive reading. Aiden is snowbound in a small mountain town, he enters the local diner and meets Jessi, a girl who rouble just seems to follow. What on earth is going on in this town? Instant attraction, danger, suspense, and a lot of drama. This is a great read and lays out plenty of potential for future books.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Surprisingly good
Hannah Shield is a new author to me and I was looking for something set in a small town. This was a wonderful read full of action from beginning to end. The characters were interesting with a reluctant alpha male and a strong female that found each other and a town that they both loved though neither was from. I am ordering the next book in this series.

A well written story.
The story had lots of excitement and mystery. The characters were well thought out and were multi-dimensional. This was my first book by this author and I truly enjoyed it. Descriptions of the scenery was and not excessive.

Loved the book!
1st in a new series for me and it's a wonderful love story that doesn't really start out as one. Strong leading grumpy man and really strong leading women make this a great read. Has action that keeps you on your toes and love scenes that are hot but don't take over the whole book. I really enjoyed reading it and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. This is the 1st book I've read of this author and it's really great.

Unexpectedly sweet
I downloaded this book without really reading the synopsis and I'm so glad I did. I truly enjoyed Aiden and Jessi's bidding relationship. I could picture exactly the town and am looking forward to reading about how more people find themselves charmed by a small town on the rise.
