Arcade Belts Hardware Utility Belt

This is my third belt with a similar style latch and even though others are better in some ways, this one is the winner all-around for me.Comparing this belt to others with similar style latches:Pros -- First, the huge one: No metal. If you go through security lines at the airport, theme parks, or work often enough this belt is a game changer. Being able to keep it on even through the most sensitive detectors is super convenient.- Slim profile that doesn't dig in when bending over or create an awkward bulge.Cons -- The latching doesn't make nearly as satisfying of a sound/feel as the metal alternatives.-Not quite as easy to latch since there's an overhang of sorts that obstructs the buckle.-No way to route the extra length through the buckle to have it under the rest of the belt instead of over. You'll always have the visible extra length. It has a sliding loop to keep the end from flapping around but I'd prefer to run it under so it's totally secure.-A little wide of a buckle for some belt loops. It's a slightly awkward middle ground between the belts with bigger metal buckles that you have to remove but can then get the belt through super easy and being small enough where that's not needed at all. You'll be fiddling with this one in some pants to get it through and the tendency of the buckle to grab a loop doesn't help.It's great quality but for the price premium over alternatives it had better be.

This is my second Belt from this company. I absolutely love their belts and being a larger guy having belts, digging into the bottom of your stomach has never pleasant so having a belt that’s very comfortable to wear and wear all day is a win so this product, I would highly recommend because I have two and I’ve been wearing them for over a year

I purchased this as I am a frequent business traveler. I like the look as I typically wear cargo pants and a tee during travel, and this is the perfect belt. TSA friendly, and no taking my belt off and having to put a belt back on in the airport. Good also for outdoors use as it is rugged and lightweight. Will buy again and in different colors!

Great belt, material, and color, but Arcade made a mistake deciding to have the excess length of belt on the outside instead of the inside. They state it is because the belt is designed to bear the weight of tools and may require adjustment depending on the load, so they made it on the outside so as to be easier to adjust. But in actual practice, this is only minimally true and the minor convenience is more than offset by the added clumsiness of feeding the belt through the loops and the deminished aesthetics. I easily remedied the problem: Cut off the tab end of the belt (female/receiver/buckle end) and remove the belt from the buckle then feed it back through the buckle up through the outside slot and back down through the inside slot. Trim and burn the cut end to prevent fraying. Now the excess is on the inside. If done properly, the burnt end looks the same as the other end cut by manufacturer - and it isn't visible any way because it is on the inside/underside. Problem fixed. Would have been 5 stars if I didn't have to fix it myself.

Reviewing on the 3rd day: The Utility Hardware Belt is very well made. All appears as described - except possibly the length. I wear size 40 pants in any style / any manufacturer. The sizing selector says up to 40” for the Regular | M/L size. When I fully extend the belt to the maximum possible length - all the way to the hard stop - in order to buckle it, I have to pull against the elastic and make up a 4 inch gap. The elastic is fairly strong and that does feel pretty snug when you first click the buckle. But I find within a few minutes I don’t notice anymore. (AND, my pants and shirt tail are NOT going anywhere.). If you wear size 40, and are not on a weight loss program, you may want to go with the Long | L/XL size to provide room for adjusting the tension. Also, I use a belt pouch for my phone - one with belt loops and a clip. I prefer to engage both loops and clip on the belt. The Utility Hardware Belt’s “male” buckle part just barely passes under the pouch’s belt clip - I feel like I’m springing the clip to the point of almost breaking it. Take care that your belt loops and accessory loops are large enough to pass the buckle. The belt material appears VERY durable and strong. I have no doubt it’d hold up to regular clipping / unclipping of tools and accessories. Other than possibly choosing the longer length, I’d highly recommend this belt.

It’s firm and stretchy. Great for clipping a knife onto. Great for airports and travel. Great for hiking and fishing and outdoors stuff. Very comfortable and adjustable. Stays put.I bought the extra long one when my waist was 44” and now I’m down to 38” so I’m buying the shorter ones in multiple colors. The first one hasn’t worn out after a year of constant use.The only con I can say is that it doesn’t look good enough to wear with slacks or nice jeans. It fits my everyday outdoorsman vibe but I can’t wear it on the rare occasion I need to dress up. Wearing a different kind of belt sucks now.. so I guess I’m kinda spoiled by this one.

I returned this belt because the buckle does not lay flat. It is an okay belt but comparing it to my Groove belt it falls short. The belt should come out the side of the buckle instead of the back of the buckle in order to lay flat.

Really nice belt. I have both the regular and this heavy duty version. I love the way they give a little when bending and easily adjustable. This one has less stretch than the regular but still very comfortable. The material is stiff in a good way and will not deform at belt loops. Love these belts. Need this on grey please.
