Why did you pick this product vs others?: 365 nm, budget pricing. Brightness: Be aware that this seems to be a hybrid light, emitting both UV-A and trace amounts of visible white light that illuminate non-glowing materials slightly. Value for money: Budget pricing, so not surprised about the hybrid UV-A/visible light. Still feels like a superior product. Battery life: Adequate. Spent an entire evening playing with it and charged it overnight. Functionality: Easy to operate-- just one button and a telescopic focus. Great for fluorescence scavenger hunting with the lights off as the dim white light makes it easier to see your surroundings. So far I've uncovered lots of cool glows! Build quality: Very well-made. Heat level: Has a warning near the lens that says "HOT", but I haven't noticed extreme heat yet.

Like that it is rechargeable. Weakest part of the device is the charger port and power button have come out and I needed to poke the rubber parts back in. Do not loose the power rubber power button or it would be non functional.

Purchased to search for scorpions before putting shoes on or getting into bed. Flashlight works amazingly well. Nice penlight size makes it easy for storage. Quality made light.

These charge reasonably quickly (it's an 18650 battery, basically a B-size battery, which you rarely see, the next size up from AA -- NOT INTERCHANGEABLE). It does its job well (finding cat whiz) and is helpful for finding other organic material in places it shouldn't be. Very sturdily built.

After charging it lasted about 15 minutes and now does not come on or recharge. The kicker is it will cost me $8 to send it back $18 flashlight to get it replaced. Amazon Prime, do better.

This UV flashlight is fantastic for illuminating UV reactive crystals and finding uranium glass. Some of the crystals that I have are reactive with any UV light, but others require specific light. This light worked on all of them, showing beautiful fluorescence. The light is a small size and is perfectly portable. Perfect for taking along on thrifting trips.
