The Cafe' Del Mar series has proven a class of it's own over the years. Every sunset, people gather at Café Del Mar to be hypnotised by a unique sunset dj mix, staring dreamily out to sea. Cafe Del Mar volume 29, once again encapsulates this mystical experience, beginning light and airy with Eric Hilton, "Corazon". Progressing to darker, bassier sounds like Chris Coco and Kiko Navarro to represent the sun falling behind the horizon. It creates a spellbinding atmosphere by placing oddities such as the mystery of the Bulgarian voices, Lisa Gerrard, Finland & Aaskoven, alongside dance tracks that take inspiration from world music and new age (ethereal female vocals; bongo-lead percussion; samples of self-hypnosis tapes, flutes; wave-sounds). Highlights include the resonant piano and strings of Boddhi Satva" Fading to Silence" and Gabriel Brasil "Midnight Meeting". The sky fades to black with the gentle ambience of Café Del Mar Volume 29.
