Healing Through Relating: A Skill-building Book for Therapists

Immediate and Positive Impact on my Clinical Skills
Jon Fredrickson’s book Healing through Relating had an immediate and positive impact on my clinical skills. Before I read this book I sometimes felt lost in session on what to do next or if sessions would stall I wouldn’t know how to reinvigorate the process. This book gave me simple and effective practical tools that helped breath life back into my sessions, deepened my relationships with my clients and increased my confidence as a therapist overall. For a relatively short and easy book to read the content had a big impact.

Great Book
Very useful for understanding at a trans-theoretical level the elements that create the therapeutic alliance, how to create it and how to maintain it. Frederickson has an exceptional ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Fundamental to Deliberate Practice

very needed and helpful book for therapist' development
good companion to Co-creating safety and I use it with my graduate interns learning outpatient psychotherapy to have group deliberate practice. Note though, the video links are shortened (bitly.com) links and they ARE CASE SENSITIVE. that means you must carefully type the URLs exactly as written with capitals and small letters etc or they go nowhere. I assume if you have the kindle version you can just click those links and they will work. but the paper book requires you to be a careful typist.

Interesting but
I can’t seem to get the links to work for the exercises.
