The product description here is a total work of fiction, although the fact it contradicts itself should probably have been a clue to that.The device requires the ezmira app to work and this app is terrible. It looks like it was designed using the 90's Geocities website design tool, though I think one of those sites might have been more use to set this up.The adapter will screen mirror without being connected to the home WiFi, although lags to the point it's not usable.To stream you need to set the Display Adapter to your home WiFi. To do this you need to use the app to edit the adapter settings, unfortunately the adapter keeps losing connection with the app and needing to be restarted before it can be found again.Eventually, once I had got the adapter to stay connected to the app long enough to set up the WiFi, it did a system update and restart, which meant it lost the WiFi settings and i was back to square 1.I again got the WiFi set up and tried to stream.None of the services listed in the product description recognise the adapter.The app comes with its own browser and a link to YouTube, which did stream, although you can't sign into your own YouTube account. Trying to use the browser to sign into Netflix or other streaming services just brought up error message after error message.The who thing is just terrible.My suggestion would be to download the ezmira app before ordering this, see how awful it looks, and then order a 2nd hand chromecast for less.

Got this for an old hd tv which doesn't have a cast feature. Plug this into the USB and hdmi ports, worked once the first time I used it. Second day took about an hour to get it to register with my phone. Third time today the cast screen went blurry and hasn't worked since. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF TRASH, absolute waste of money, going to smash it with a hammer I think.
