Well-constructed, Comfortable Hiking shoes at a Good Price
I have been wearing Keen hiking shoes now for a few years. I was a bit skeptical about buying these Nortiv8 hiking shoes on Amazon as I was not familiar with the brand. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality construction and durability of these shoes, so far it turns out to be a pretty good decision! With the price of similar hiking shoes two times the price of these, I figured I would take a chance, and if they fell apart or wore out in a few years, I would still be happy! The shoes’ fit was perfect for my seemingly wide feet, as they slip right into the shoes with no pressure points. I'm happy to say they seem to be well-built. They are comfortable, as I was able to wear them for several hours while doing yard work in my large 2-acre yard without any issues. They also have some cushion in the insoles, which really helps when going for a nice walk on a park trail, or a short hike in the nearby mountains. These Nortiv8s also have a large toe box, which feels good for my feet and toes. For each pair of hiking shoes, Nortiv8 also includes a 2nd pair of shoe laces – a nice touch! They also seem to be heavier than my Keen hiking shoes, and slightly bulkier. One thing that kind of bugs me is their shoe laces – they are several inches too short. If I put the laces in the top holes, I can barely tie them – maybe I shouldn’t use the top holes (?). I definitely cannot use a double knot that I like to use before I go hiking. The tongue on these shoes is quite thick, and the shoes also feel a bit clunky – but perhaps they just need to be ‘broken in’ some (as their website suggests). But these are small complaints when considering the price, comfort, and the quality of the shoes. I haven’t yet tried to see how ‘waterproof’ they are yet, but if I have any issues, I will just clean them off and spray them with the 3M boot waterproof protection I have (I did this with my Keen hiking shoes and it made them look a little darker (an enhancement!) but it worked perfectly! Please note that on the Nortiv8 website, there are details on how the hiking shoes should fit, what socks to wear, and how to break-in these shoes – very helpful! I would recommend these shoes as of now, so pick up a pair and you shouldn’t be disappointed. I'll update my review if something goes wrong with the shoes over the long term, but for now, I am very happy with this purchase.

Great shoe at an incredible value.
Ok, i have had these now for several months, and they are worn daily. They are made really well. they are breathable, and comfortable. They clean up easily, from mud and dirt. i have had several pair of of a much more popular brand M and they have gone down hill terribly in quality for what you pair. the past two pair i have owned less than a year and the soles came apart from the shoe. i am happy with this purchase, and especially the value you get for your dollar. I will buy these again.

Comfortable and Waterproof but Not for Heavy Daily Use
These hiking shoes are comfortable right out of the box and provide good support for long walks and trails. The waterproofing works well, keeping my feet dry in wet grass, shallow puddles, and light rain. The tread grips nicely on dirt, gravel, and uneven terrain, making them versatile for different outdoor activities. I wear them a lot, and with heavy regular use they do not last as long as I would like. The soles and material start showing wear faster than higher-end hiking shoes. However, for someone who hikes only occasionally or uses them for lighter activities, they should last a long time. The fit is true to size, and they are comfortable enough for all-day wear. For the price, they are a solid value, especially for casual or occasional hikers who want waterproof protection and decent durability.

Superior Shoe With A Good Price
I originally bought this brand because I couldn't get myself to pay the increasingly ridiculous high prices for Keens. I have used the several pairs I've brought here for working, waking & hiking over almost 4 years now. Besides being a bit heavier than other hiking shoes I've had, these are perfect. I've used a black & a gray pair for years & even with daily use, they've hardly worn at all, even the outside of the tread which I usually wear badly within a few months. Besides being durable, these look good, have excellent traction & are completely waterproof. They fit me at my normal size 12 perfectly. Better than Keens at a better price, you can't go wrong with these shoes

Decent comfort but the materials and construction leave more to be desired.
Overall these are decent shoes The pros -price point is good -reasonably waterproof -pretty comfortable right out of the box. The cons -breathability is not great. -the rubber soles wear out pretty quick (however for the price point not terrible) - 3 months of wear in 5 days a week soles separating from shoe, and the material the sole meets up to is flaking off. Works as advertised.
Just changed my rating, I have been wearing these shoes for a while now, and put about 30-40 miles on them. They are keeping my feet warm, and get more comfortable the longer I use them. Would buy them again. This is my 4 pair of Nortiv 8, these are not as comfortable as the running walking shoes purchased from them, but that is probably because they have a stiffer sole for hiking. Other than that they are a good shoe, I have been using them for a while now, and they keep my feet warm in cold weather and have good traction.

Solid Everyday Hiking Shoes with a Few Trade-offs
Solid Everyday Hiking Shoes with a Few Trade-offs These Nortiv 8 low-top hiking shoes get a lot right at an affordable price point. The first thing I noticed was the sturdy leather and synthetic build—these look and feel durable enough for frequent trail use. They are definitely waterproof; I walked through wet grass and shallow puddles, and my socks stayed dry. The tread grips well on dirt and rocky terrain, and they feel stable underfoot. That said, they run a bit heavy compared to other hiking shoes I’ve worn. On longer hikes, I started to feel some fatigue in my legs. The break-in period is also noticeable—the leather was stiff at first, and I needed a few wears before they softened up. Comfort-wise, they’re supportive but not as cushioned as premium brands, so if you have sensitive feet you may want to add an insole. Style-wise, they’re classic and versatile. I wouldn’t wear them as everyday sneakers, but they look good for casual outdoor use. Sizing ran true for me. Bottom line: A tough, waterproof, budget-friendly hiking shoe that gets the job done for weekend trails and outdoor chores, though a little on the heavy side and not the softest ride for all-day treks.
