Seems to work. Put on at 1st year in property, can't do heat comparison.
I cannot compare to any other year, as only been in this property this winter. I'd heard previous people had had high heating bills, so used this to add to my being efficient. I plan to leave it on all year, for as long as possible. I can comment on application. Yes, a bit of a fiddle, but, do the cutting as best you can,. I laid mine out on clean table, measured, dabbed blacker pen dots to guide my cut. When applying to window, I also carefully cut sticky tape to shape to pass by the window handle section. It worked. The film still adhered tightly. The hairdryer works brilliantly, I scoped the hotair to and fro over the film and stopped when it was taut, not over-taut. After a few weeks, the film attracts a very fine deposit from the atmosphere. Wipe with dry cloth. You really only see this if sun shines directly on it. I watch birds thru this filmed-over window, and it is nearly 100%clarity to look through with binoculars. 1.5 year later update: took it all off, it started to attract tiny black harvest flies behind it. I am impressed it did the job for far longer than I thought it would. A side bit of fun was - when a fly tries to get to the window glass it poings off the plastic like it is bouncing off a trampoline. My old stone house has been insulated now so I may not use this again.

That tape!!
This is a very good product but for one thing. That bloody tape that everyone else complained about. Buy the product but buy your own tape or you will regret it.

Unimpressed
Disappointed. Having paid over fourty sterling pounds for this I am left unimpressed. Just doubled face tape and a large piece of thin cling film. Tricky to cut and install, and a bit of an eyesore. Its works a little as a short term fix as it adds another layer of insulation.

Can't complain
Easy to install and definitely keeping the chill out as the temperatures plunge.

Works perfectly
Good product that is relatively easy to apply and smooths out nicely when warmed afterward with a hair dryer. My only concern had been that it seemed a bit thin (the Duck branded version is notably thicker and stronger). However, after using for two winters, the thickness hasn't been a problem and all of the windows that I covered remained tightly sealed until the films were taken down about 5-6 months later.

OK once on, but my sticky tape was really difficult to apply
When applied properly this product stops formation of condensation on windows (good), warms the room slightly (good) and isn't too obvious (good), BUT the double-sided tape provided was such a palaver it made application much slower and more hassle than it should have been. All double-sided tape relies on the backing strip being easy to remove - this wasn't the case here. It left its paper behind, so I had to dig in with thumbnail to get the paper to roll back. A small window (18 inches by 25) took about half an hour when it should have been possible in 5 minutes. It should have come off in 4 strips - my picture shows it actually came off in dozens of much smaller bits, with considerable effort and frustration.

Of course nothing to compare with new windows but on rented property it works just fine. It is easy to install
It reasonably improved old windows and reduced the heating bills. Of course nothing to compare with new windows but on rented property it works just fine.It is easy to install, but you need to get a bit of practice. Once I have done 2 windows I was an expert. When it gets loose after a few weeks or months you can just heated up a but with hair dryer and it gets into the shape. Very good product.

I would not recommend unless you plan to use your own adhesive tape.
The adhesive double sided tape that came with the item is not usable. The paper sticker keeping the tape from sticking to itself is very difficult to get off even when you are carefull and slowly peeling it off. The end result is having "smuges" of paper all over the sides of the installation making this product very ugly to install in non-white surfaces. Having patches of non adhesive surfaces also mean that cold air will leak in.I did experiment on using my own tape to fasten the sides of the installation and the product did expand and was very clear after air heating.
