There is no way to get the right size!
I think the belt can help a bad back but one needs to ha one that fits. I said I would return the first and received a second with the same small size. If I get refunds I will order a third with a large size.

This was for my wife,
I bought this from my wife, because of the size, I've been wearing a back support most of my life I'M pretty good at picking one out. The only thing is that her back is curved and she needs a cushion between the pack support and her body in order to give her support that was no problem, she improvised by putting a folden towel. Works great she's very happy with it. She's able to do what she wants to do without worrying about strained back
