This is a great product.
This device is a well-built piece of equipment from the tough extruded aluminum case to the CAT6 jack, cables and XLR plugs. The quality continues in the inside with a PCB and excellent solder joints. You can’t go wrong buying this product.I'm using these rewire my church's stage. Our two 75' snakes are deteriorating and we have a bunch of XLR cables crossing the stage. We're moving from a Yamaha mixer in the sound booth to a Mackie DL32S remote digital mixer just behind the stage. I don't want pull mike and instrument cable under the stage. Shielded CAT6 is a lot cheaper than individual good XLR cables. We’re going to run many CAT6 cables and solder them to faceplates with 2 or XLR jacks. We’ll use product to convert the CAT6 to standard XLR plugs for the mixer.

Rugged, solid connections. My studio looks clean and sharp now!
These are easily the best things I've bought for my project studio in the past 10 years. They are built like tanks. The cables are both pliable and rugged and the connectors are solid locking connectors. It's dirt simple. Plug in a Cat6 (I think they work with Cat5 too) cable between the male and female sets and it's the same as running four long XLR cables. Phantom doesn't send across the Cat6, or I haven't figured out how if it does, but for dynamic mics these things have saved me major cabling headaches. My studio looks clean and sharp now. Very very happy. If these guys come out with a bigger snake, I will be first in line.

Polarity and channels swapped
The build quality and materials in the LyxPro ethercon fan-out boxes is excellent, and the construction method makes access for modification easy. That's a good thing. When using LyxPro-to-LyxPro, no modification is required. However, if you need to connect LyxPro ethercon stuff to anything else in the world, six of the eight signal connections in the box need to be changed. Get out your soldering iron. Here's what:- Channel 1 polarity is reversed, relative to standards. Pin 2 of the XLR-3 should go to pin 5 on the RJ45; it goes to pin 4. Pin 3 on the XLR should go to pin 4 on the RJ45; it goes to pin 5. Remove and reverse the wires for channel 1 in the box. In mine, that's the green one.- Channels 2 and 3 are swapped, relative to other ethercon fan-ins and fan-outs. On the circuit card, unsolder and swap the signal connections for channels 2 and 3 (red and blue on my units). Preserve the polarity; it is correct.

These are awesome!
I replaced a big, ugly, ungainly 8 channel audio snake with these devices and 2 cat6 cables. No noise, no reduction in freq response, they just work. 100 feet - no apparent losses. Amazing.
