This dress is absolutely gorgeous! It is very comfortable and fit well. It has a zipper on the side to make getting in and out of it easier. I purchased a hoop skirt to fill the dress out. I have received lots of compliments on this dress. It is made of quality material and I feel I can get a lot of use out of it!

Purchased this beautiful gown for my daughter to wear to a masquerade party. The quality was so nice, great price and fit her perfectly. We added a wireless hoop skirt under to make it full and it was perfect!

Incredible dress! I bought a 3 tiered hoop to go under it for volume. Lots of compliments. It has a little but of stretch but not to much. I ordered the Xtra large because I am big busted and it fit well.

This dress is expensive for the kind of dress you get. 1st and foremost, I recommend getting some kind of petticoat to go underneath as it doesn't come with one. The dress is really long otherwise, because it's meant for something to be underneath and still reach the floor. The fabric is really nice. It's silky and smooth, but very thin. I feel like I'm going to need to wear something underneath it if I'm wearing it out (which I will be). The corset backing is a really pretty feature, but if you order a size up (like I was originally seeing in the reviews), it gets lost. I have to pull it so tight together so make it fit nicely and the detail gets lost. The lace on the sleeves is kind of scratchy but it stays puffed out so it doesn't really bother me too much. The neck piece is so tight around my neck! I literally feel like I'm being choked. I wear an xl/2x and ordered a 3x based on the reviews and the neck piece just seems to be standard sizing. My neck isn't even that big... Overall I'm happy with this purchase. This was the only seller that could get me my dress in time for Halloween guaranteed. Other sellers have this same dress cheaper but it was too far our for my comfort.

I could not believe the quality of this dress for the price. I expected it to be much less quality. I wore this as a costume and actually won best costume. I added a crinoline underneath to give it a little extra poofiness in the skirt. But it fit nice and was true to size. Would definitely recommend this.

I bought this '1791's lady Women's Victorian Rococo Dress Inspration Maiden Costume' (Blue, X-Small) for my daughter for Halloween. When I first took it out of the package, I was a little discouraged because it seemed huge and there was so much material, but it turned out to be absolutely stunning. Even though I got the smallest size available, it was still too big for my petite and slim 14yo daughter (4'11" and under 90 lbs). She was able to put it right on without even unzipping it on the side, but we love it so much that we are determined to make it work! I tightened the laces in the back until they couldn't be tightened any tighter, had her wear my old chunky, high-heeled lace-up boots for the extra height, and had her put on a petticoat underneath (not included) to prevent the dress from dragging on the floor. With just a little bit more work, I think it will be perfect. It really needs a crinoline or 6-hoop/full-length petticoat underneath to make it more "pouffy" (which we just ordered). In the picture, she is wearing a 3-hoop petticoat, which is not long enough because you can tell where it ends by the way the dress drapes over it. Also, the choker is too loose for her neck, so I plan on cutting off the excess length at the back of the neck and adding a velcro closure to replace the ribbon. I might even remove the ruffle from the choker for a more delicate look. All the colors are pretty but glad we went with the Blue. The Blue is vibrant yet gothy and does not give off a witchy or vampirey or even Christmasy vibe like the other colors might. Overall, it really is excellent quality for the price and not itchy like other costumes tend to be. I will be returning two other similar costumes since, when she put this one on, we just knew this one was the keeper.

Costume is absolutely gorgeous! Very true to size and was definitely what I was looking for. The material is very comfortable and affordable!

This is more of an FYI review than anything. The piece was fine but very poly-costume like material throughout. All one piece vs. layered pieces. This one is really a just depends on what you are looking for piece. I know the description says Costume and that it is-- a costume, not necessarily a costume like period dress. I will say the suggested measurements felt waaaay off. I am typically an XL. Per the measurements I ordered a 3 XL and it was huge on me. You might want to just go with your normal sizing or one size up (but that is based on your own measurements of course).
