Great customer service
After I attempted my first fermenting recipe, I got a small crack in the bottle. The manufacturer replaced it immediately, which I really appreciated. It worked great for fermenting I might try some larger jars

As described arrived on time.
As described. Delivered on time. I’m new to fermenting. New batch ongoing now. No mess on my countertop or plate. The glass press helps smash the fermentation down. Love it.

OK to get you started, but that's about it...
If you've never fermented any foods before and have zero equipment, then this kit is a decent way to get started, but it has several issues:1) The lids are terrible - as others have mentioned, if you tighten them even a little bit they will pop off. It's simply because they are made of incredibly cheap plastic, which flexes easily. Fortunately you don't need to tighten them much anyway. Just as long as they are on and the threads catch a little, it's probably good enough. The important thing is that your food is submerged under the brine, so whether the cap is tight or not doesn't really matter.2) The jars are too small. I mean, they'll work and you'll get some nice fermented food, but you will immediately start looking for 32 ounce wide mouth Mason jars.3) The airlocks are useless. As noted above, the lids cannot be tightened without popping off, so it is impossible for enough pressure to build up to cause a bubble in the airlock. The airlocks themselves are fine, so if you make beer or wine, you can use them there. Fortunately for me, I do, and I have. The weights are the most valuable part of this kit. My recommendation is to pack and fill the jars nearly to the top with brine, then insert the weight (which will cause it to overflow, so do it at the sink). Then gently screw the lid on. As mentioned above, the important thing is that the food is submerged, so doing this will accomplish that. Overall, it's a very "meh" kit, but it is sufficient to get you started if you have nothing now.

Has everything to get started
I saw some low reviews because this is a starter kit but that is exactly what I needed. You will get what is shown in the pictures, every thing to get started in fermenting. I have lots of wide mouth quart canning jars that work with the weights and lids that come with this kit when I want to use a larger jar. The lids seal like they should and the airlocks do what they should. The downside is I could only ferment two things at a time so I looked at buying more weights and airlocks then ended up a second one of these kits.

Lids don't seal tight
This kit looks good and the packing was great but, like many reviews say, the lids fit loose and don't seal very good. I tried the lids on some other canning jars and they seemed to seal better so the problem might be the jars. I haven't used the kit yet but it is probably still worth it for someone wanting to try small batches without spending a lot of money or risking a lot of food. Again, I haven't tested them out yet but it looks like larger wide mouth canning jars could be used if you want to make more at once or if the lids don't seal on the little jars included in the kit. I looked at small quantities of just the glass weights but this kit was similar to just buying the 2 glass weights but included jars, lids, and air locks.
