Klein Tools VDV327-103 Wire Pick, Yellow

Klein is a top-notch brand, but I was surprised to see a black tip on the tool instead of silver as shown on the product page.

A big part of the goal for me in this product was to take the strain and resulting finger nail damage to a more life friendly state. With the blade end of the pick I only need to place the data wire strand up against the 110 connection and do the first push with the blade end of the pick. With the strand having more stability on how the wire is being held, the punch down tool is far more likely to be good the first time.

This is perfect for removing wires from a 66 block and for pulling a pair loose from a bundle, however Klein really dropped the ball on one major issue. There is no cap to cover the very sharp and pointed end, I carry mine in a canvas pouch and predict that it will cause a hole in the pouch.

Keep finding hundreds of uses. We do low voltage wiring, access controls, fishing wires in impossible situations.

It works.
