LEGO Lord of the Rings - Nintendo DS

Bought this for my 8 year old for his stocking this Christmas. He loves it. Keeps him entertained on long road trips. It's not too difficult to play and there are lots of tips that pop up to help kids get through the different levels. The graphics are pretty good as well. We play it on a DC2 and it works well on that device.

I had read lots of good reviews on this in the past, so i decided to give it a shot. And boy, am i glad i did! The game play is lots of fun, and the mini clips are hilarious. My only small complaint is that sometimes it will make my DS lag a little bit when i'm fighting several enemies at once. Although that happens rarely.All in all, i'm very happy with this. And in my personal opinion, this is one of the best Lego games made so far!

I own a large number of the Lego DS games- this one differs from any of my others. (All of the Star Wars, Two Indiana Jones, Battles, Batman) This subtle difference in movement and control of the characters is fine once you adjust, but the lack of any control over the story progress is bumming me out. As soon as I finish one part of the story, it goes right into the next part. I kind of like the clear cut "open area" of the other games- wandering through the Batcave or the bar in Mos Eisly is a good place to practice movement and a chance to plan.The game is still fun and it is pretty clear what it wants you to do. It's not a bad game, just not quite as fun as the rest of the titles in this series. The voices are from the movie (at least to my ears) and I have a better grip on the storyline of the books and movies. If you like the movies, you'll appreciate this.

Got this for my son and he LOVES IT! Mom got to play and I kind of took over lol Lots of fun!!!

Game came packaged, brand new. 20% finished with the game, everything seems to work fine.
