Love this series!
This book starts with a bang! When Lyla Eden is attacked while out hiking, she is so shaken that she finds it hard getting back to everyday life. Then Vance Sutter arrives in town to try and find the man that attacked Lyla and she instantly trusts this insanely handsome man. But not everything is as it seems. Vance is closer to the case than anyone knows and there are a lot of secrets he's keeping close to his chest.I really enjoyed the mystery aspect of this book. It reminded me of Indigo Ridge and added a new aspect to the series that kept it fresh. The "will they, won't they" of the romance worked well with the mystery too. The sparks flew immediately but they were both hesitant to go any further. The ending unfolded amazingly but left enough questions for the next book.

Small town meets mystery/suspense
This is one of those series that I am going to be so sad is over. There is such comfort and joy in reading Devneyβs books and I would never question picking up one of her stories.Iβve been really eager for Lylaβs story as weβve gotten to know her. Poor girl did not get off to a good start in this book but she took it in her stride, was so brave and showed such resilience. She was so likeable. Enter Vance Sutter. He was just the perfect balance of slightly broody, protective, caring and had a lovely filthy mouth.I loved their immediate attraction and seeing it grow to something more, whilst they knew it would come to end, was quite angsty. I love the mystery/suspense in this one, because Iβd kind of missed those vibes since Indigo Ridge.*ππ‘πππ€ ππ«π’π π ππ« π°ππ«π§π’π§π π¬*πππ§π«π: contemporary romanceππ«π¨π©ππ¬: small town, mystery suspense, insta attraction, strangers to lovers, dual povππ©π’ππ: πΆοΈπΆοΈ.5

Searching for love!
When Lyla Eden is attacked when out hiking, she has no idea that her life will change in more ways than she anticipated. Vance Sutter has been searching for his friend Cormac for years to bring him to justice and when he hears about Lyla's attack, he heads to Quincy to see if he can capture Cormac. What he finds is both hope and the beginning of something amazing with Lyla. This read was quite emotional and had some twists and turns that were surprising. The chemistry between the couple was enchanting and their interactions were perfect. Into the last book of the series - and what a series this has been!

Romantic Suspense
I really enjoyed Lyla and Vance's book because there was a good balance of suspense and mystery along side the romance.

Really enjoying this series.
This author can tell a good tale, her series has been well written and the plots are well thought out. Lyla owns the coffee shop in Quincy and she has lost herself in work hardly having any time off to do other things. She is pushed into having a break and goes for a hike. Along the river bank a hunter startles her and then throttles her leaving her semi unconscious. This attack gets Vance going to Quincy to look for the guy he has been trying to catch for four years. Meeting Lyla was a shock to him because there was an instant attraction and he hated to see the bruises around her neck. He tells her about catching the guy and the story builds with him tracking each day and ending up with Lyla each night. Really good read.

Absolutely loved it!
I'm a massive fan of The Edens Series and have been desperate for Lyla to find her happy ever after.I really enjoyed this book, I actually think it might be my favourite one yet in this series. I loved the mystery of finding the man in the woods and I really liked the instant connection between Lyla and Vance. The chemistry between these two was immense! Loved the plot twists and the tease for Matteo's series. I'm really happy with who he's got as his love interest.

Good Storyline
This was a good story that held my interest throughout. I would say that it is more Romantic Mystery then it is suspense as was my first thought going into it. this was my first foray into this Author's work and would definitely read other books by her.
