Great basic camera at a great price. Very easy set up. Very good video. Comes with extras like person, vehicle and pet detection at no extra cost. Have had it for over six months with no issues. The subscription plan is nice but not necessary. The main difference is the subscription plan lets you delete videos while the SD card keeps them all and deletes/overwrites old ones when full. I switched to SD and event recording over a month ago to a 256g card and no videos have been deleted yet. You can record 24 hours a day or just do event recordings which are usually 15-60 seconds with the Cloud or 1-2 minutes on the SD card. The Cloud recording is nice but not worth $42 a year for my needs. Really easy to download videos to your phone, table or PC. A couple neighbors have purchased after seeing mine and everyone is satisfied.

I love these cameras! I have a steel carport with a.c. power and Wi-Fi. Easy to set up and they work great! I just plug them in and stick them to the steel. I set them up with my own alarm sound when detecting people or vehicles. It also has led lights but they’re not real bright. You can set the camera up for: motion detection, person detection, pet detection, vehicle detection, line crossing detection, baby cry detection, glass break detection, dog bark detection and cat meow detection. I can’t believe I waited so long to buy these. Can’t beat the price. Definitely worth it. Only issue I have is I can’t remember to turn the camera off when I go out to the carport. Can’t fault the camera for that though. Just enter privacy mode when heading outside form your smart phone.

This tiny camera fullfilled my expectatives of buying an affordable yet quality camera. It comes with all the needed extras to mount it everywhere. The functionality is great as the rest of the Tapo products (which I have and they are still working perfectly after coming through heavy storms and winds). Notifications are in real time with practically no delay (with wifi just 1-3 seconds, so wired should be even less). Image quality is good for the size (and totally for the price!).Would definitely recommend this one and any other coming from TP-Link: it is a reliable brand with no doubts.

I recently purchased the Tapo by TP-Link 2K QHD Security Camera, and I am absolutely thrilled with it! This little camera is a powerhouse. The video quality is incredibly sharp and clear, day or night, thanks to the color night vision. I was also very impressed with the smart detection features, which can differentiate between people, pets, and vehicles, saving me from a ton of unnecessary notifications. The setup was a breeze and the app is very user-friendly. It's great to have the option of both local and cloud storage, giving me peace of mind. For the price, you can't beat the features and quality. It's no wonder it's an Amazon's Choice product! Highly recommend!

So far, these cameras work great. Set up is quick and easy especially if you have TP-Link WiFi routers which I have a Mesh 7 system. Resolution is great and better than what I had previously used so that is a plus. During the night, I don't need to use the spotlight or IR lights to illuminate as the ambient light outside is plenty to illuminate the area and provide a clear image. The cameras are mounted inside pointing outward through windows and glare during the daytime is minimal. Field of view is very wide and provides a substantial wide-range for viewing. They all have MicroSD cards installed (make sure you get ones that are compatible) for recording and do a great job recording as well. Connectivity/compatibility was a key factor for my purchase. Since I just recently upgraded my network to a WiFi 7 mesh system, I had difficulty keeping some devices connected, especially my Yi cameras. I had my Yi cameras for 3-5 years and they worked okay until I changed my network system. All of the downfalls my Yi cameras experienced, these cameras overcame for a few dollars more, not to mention the Yi app now choses to display ads prior to you viewing which is a huge negative for me. Resolution, connectivity, compatibility and app performance was an exceptional upgrade for me. I would currently rate this at 4.5 stars as I'm having some issues getting the motion settings right. The issue I'm having is it will activate for headlights of a vehicle in an area that is not even set to activate. This may take some tweaking on my part adjusting the sensitivity or maybe the zone for motion which I will try to adjust, otherwise I would give this product a 5-star rating. It's also nice that it is Alexa compatible as well as you can set it for voice notification just like the Ring system which I also have, so that is a plus. This is a very price friendly camera for home security and does a great job at a low-cost option and for now and works very well.

I purchased 3 of these cameras for my salon so i could monitor what was happening when i was not working. I absolutely LOVE these cameras and the brand so far. I had zero issues connecting, the app fires right up when I want to check the cameras, and the playback quality is great! The design blends seamlessly with other decor, and the corded option means i dont need to constantly replace or charge batteries! Overall, 10/10! will be buying more!

Terrific cameras with outstanding app and ease of use. This 2k (newer version) is substantially better and worth the upgrade (albeit about 50% higher in price).I like that you can control night and spotlight functionality vision from the app, as well as mic and speaker functions. There is less than an 1-2 second lag between sound made and sound transferred to you in the app. And the magnetic base is nifty. We use a micro SD card rather than pay for their optional cloud storage (for now) and its plug and play (the camera automatically formats a new SD card). Our furthest window cams are about 40-50 feet from our wifi/router and there was no issue connecting.
