Better than expected. Looks like good quality, hopefully durable. Could put a few on the bar and they look nice. I will be buying a few more and would recommend them to anyone considering buying one.

The weights are perfect for what I need. Construction looks great and after a week worth of using I think that they will last for a while. The grease is no big deal and comes right off, anyone complaining about this is just trying to find something to whinge about. For the price these are worth it, I would buy these again.

I bought these weights for me and my son to work out with. I was thoroughly surprised by the quality of the weights after just unpacking them. The rubber coating is very think. I dropped the 45lb weight 12 inches above solid concrete and it bearly made a sound and no damage to the weight or concrete. All the weights are all the same height. 10lbs are the same heighth as the 45lbs.

These are very nice. High quality. Yes, the rubber smell is strong, but it's not a big deal. And, yes, there's a thin layer of oil. But the plates would be dingy when you received them if they didn't do this. Matter of fact, I will likely reapply a thin layer of lightweight synthetic oil periodically to keep their lustre. Don't use a petroleum based oil/lube; it'll degrade the rubber. I bought the 160 lb set because it was free shipping. However, this isn't nearly enough weight. I'm holding off on buying more because I've knocked a good-sized hole in my wallet buying home gym equipment recently. I really need to add the 370 lb set, but gadzooks. Six hundred plus shipping.

Only bad thing is that it smells and it's slippery, but after several use, it goes away.
