Perfect for small animal cages
I used this product for a homemade outdoor cage and for an 8x8 outdoor aviary and still have some left over. This 100' roll goes a long way. It was easy to cut with a simple pruning shear, but sturdy enough to wrap a cage and have my birds safe. I specifially love the pvc coating. It looks nice and doesn't rust as easily as pure metal. Living in Florida in a very humid environment, this was important to me. I have used zip ties on the smaller cage and a staple gun on the aviary, both worked very well with the hardware cloth. I recommend this product.

Worth the extra money
I went back and forth for awhile bc it's more expensive than the non-painted cloth, but since it's black, it doesn't reflect the sun and you can actually see in the run! I didn't want to buy extra paint or maintain it once the paint started to wear or chip. Just looks great and is quality stuff!

Phenomenal
My kids and I are building a 120 sq ft chicken coop. I've used half of this roll. This is my second coop build and am soooo glad I chose the Black. The ease of handling is great. I bought a fresh pair of snippers and every cut was done manually - no need for power tools. I attached initially with manual staple gun, then went back with washers and screws. I'm using it to primarily keep out rodents / rats. No fear of bears or coyotes in my back yard.I love this product so much, I'm thinking of adding some to my window screens where my dogs sometimes claw at. It's very easy to navigate. I made a coop door with lumber and this product estimating cost at under 25$ with hardware. My screen porch door was 65$ at home Depot and I still had to buy hardware and replace the crappy screen it came with.Once coop build is complete and I have leftover HWC, I know I'll find many more uses. The black vinyl coating is great. This coop is poolside, so we can float and watch our flock. The black has no glare like the regular silver galvanized. It's reaya game changer since it matches my screen porch beside it. Very asthetic.

Not as strong as I expected.
The mesh was a described. It is nice that it is coated. From a distance it is easy to miss against the background. It blends in a bit. It is easy to work with (watch for the sharp points when you cut it). It is not as strong as I expected. I thought it would be a heavier gauge. Saying that, I am using it for a chicken coop. The mesh is strong enough to keep most critters out. I don't foresee any issues with it at this time.

It will work but won’t last
It’sThinner then 19 gauge but my main concern was the corrosion on my new wire.I would have returned this item but I used almost Half before I noticed the corrosion.Another thing is, I don’t believe that the wire is galvanized after welding because I can see the black discoloration on every welded joint. So far I ordered 3 100ft. rolls from 3 different manufacturers on Amazon and all 3 were a disappointment. Right now the best most sturdy 19ga wire I use came from Home Depot under the everbuilt brand. It’s about double the price but it’s truly 19ga and has quality hot dipped galvanized, coating. This is Just other users who have the same issue with poor quality wire mesh sold on Amazon.
