Not a Carry-On
This suitcase is not considered a carry-on it’s too large., I returned this item because it was considered a checked bag. Overall heavy duty . But not considered a carry-on

Worst and most frustrating customer Ssrvice experience I've ever had....
I was incredibly excited about this purchase. The 'extras' on the suitcase were everything I'd been looking for. I ordered and received it in late May, and loved it the second I took it out of the box. I used it twice; I didn't come close to overstuffing it either time and used it as a carry on (didn't check it) both times. As I was packing for my third trip, the left clasp broke on the suitcase and wouldn't close - and since there's no zipper, I couldn't use it at all. This was for a trip in early Sept (Labor Day weekend). The window via Amazon was closed for a return or replacement, so I reached out to the seller after my trip to see if they would replace it for me. I'd only used it twice over a 3-1/2 month period and I really really liked the piece. The experience from there was AWFUL. They requested photos of the damage. After sending three times, they said they couldn't "see" from the photos it was really broken. It's a still photo and the damage is on the inside of the clasp, which is why it won't close. The photo I sent was one clasp closed and the broken one open. Not sure what else they expected. Also, the reason I had to send the photos three times is because of the size of the photos - they wouldn't go through the Help Desk chat until I reduced them (which I had to guess as a solution because there's nothing that guides you on the file size limits) - which is in no way, the seller's fault. But because they couldn't "see" from the still photo that the clasp didn't work, they requested I send them a video of me trying to close it so they could see that it truly wouldn't close. Seriously??? I explained to them that due to file size, there's no way a video would upload and go through the chat if two photos wouldn't make it through. It was clear from the diaglogue they felt I was trying to just get something free. Not at all. I'm not that person and honestly, if I hadn't liked the suitcase so much, I wouldn't have wasted my time. Plus, I wasn't asking for a refund - I just wanted them to simply stand behind a product that I very much liked - but felt needed to last longer than two uses over 3-1/2 months. After much back and forth over a THREE WEEK period, they asked me if a $10 refund would be okay. I paid over $140 for the suitcase. I told them no, actually that wouldn't be okay. More back and forth, and the "maximum" they would refund me was $20. I told them I would take it and put it towards a new piece of luggage from a different seller/company. Sadly, it's a very cool piece in theory. In reality, it's a crappy piece of luggage - which the seller clearly knows since they won't even stand behind it nor make it right for customers who are happy to pay for and use it. I'm not a person who generally takes the time to post comments about a review - good or bad. If they'd handled the situation better, I'd have gladly given them five-stars and written a glowing review for being a good company that made a negative situation okay. Instead, they're getting this one. If you're okay dropping $140 (which is with the discount) on a sub-par piece of luggage you can use 2-3 times, this is the perfect product. If when it busts on you, you expect any kind of halfway decent good-faith gesture on the part of the seller, put your money towards something else.

So far so good.
So I fly at least 19 times a year with a connecting flight. So this thing takes some abuse. It is a little heavy but it feels pretty durable. The locking mechanisms really have a good positive feel. Not cheap or wimpy. I wish the laptop portion had a spot for some pens and zipper locations though. Be warned if you’re looking for a true carry on with the normal carry on space, this isn’t it. Between the handle parts and the laptop area, you lose a lot of space. Not too mention it doesn’t expand. But I will say for me it’s fine. I fly home every 3rd weekend for 5 days from work. So I just take my work laptop. Some blueprints, my cpap machine and my Xbox with me. I don’t take clothes across the country. Don’t even take a toothbrush. ( I have one at both homes)!

Heavy and small
I have several carry ons and will only use this for local overnights. It is the heaviest case I have and holds the least.
