Perfect replacement for Amazon HD 8 10th Gen
The perfect replacement for my sons Amazon HD8 10th Gen tablet. This replaces only the touch screen part, not the LCD.It was quite fiddly, you will need to be able to pop the curcuit board out the way to get the connector through the chassis in to the back where it plugs in.

Install then found out damaged
I installed the new screen to find this in the bubble rap after installing new screen. Will update review see what happens with replacement. Photo shows connection of the the screen were plugs into mother board. Not judging yet as these things happen. But down two hours at the moment.

No too difficult replacement and seems to work fine
My kindle has been checked about and dropped on a number of occasions without damage, but the other day I picked it up and must have gripped the screen too hard and it cracked. This kit contains the replacement screen, 2 small Philips screwdrivers and a Torx, a couple of guitar picks, a 'spudger', a thin plastic card, a suction cup, some double-sided sticky strips and some dust collector sticky pads. There was also a plastic screen protector that looked quick thick and I haven't used.As per the description, there are no instructions at all with the kit, except to point you to look on YouTube. I did find one, but wasn't too impressed as it was s guy doing it for the first time. However, it did give me a heads-up on the likely steps. It all went reasonably well. I heated the whole device to about 40 degC before jamming the picks in to remove the back then heated the broken screen to about 80 degC before slipping the plastic card around the edges. I found this didn't need any solvent although I used a bit of alcohol to clean up the frame after removing the old touchscreen. The one tricky bit was threading the screen connector through the hole in the main frame. I found I had to unscrew the motherboard PCB to squeeze it through without bending the flexible connector too much - but there may be a better way!So for 20 quid you get the minimum set of tools and parts for the repair and my device is back looking as good as new. I feel I have to remove a star for there being no useful instructions or guidance.

Great solution!
This kit was a great replacement, end result is really good. Only reason its 4 star is that the kit didnt come with double sided tape to secure new screen in place. I had a precise tweezer which was really helpful when disconnecting & reconnecting data ribbons & connections. The job didnt take too long about 45mins. Much cheaper than full replacement and its like new, thanks
