It's a great little knife for what it's worth hand forged obviously the black and steel and the patina that comes from the forging process. Because of this kind of steel, you're well aware that the billet that it's used from is not exactly perfect for flat reasons. It holds its sharp as well for carbon steel. The only drawback of it is the sheath which is of a piece of leather stitched on both ends. It's loose and doesn't necessarily fit the blade well making it dangerous to be worn around the neck. That reason I would consider the sheets very dangerous to be worn around a neck and not something I would personally do. But another sheath can easily be made with a piece of leather by on your own. Find its durability to be on par with some of the colonial and primitive blacksmith knives. I assume these are mass-produced so I figure that the sheath and the blade are made in a factory overseas and not much thought is given to how it fits as a neck knife which I would never wear. But if you're looking for the blade itself, you can't go wrong in this.

Pretty cool little knife! The included sheath feels sturdy, decent quality. But it’s also not what is pictured with the item; this sheath is shaped a bit differently and has a symbol I have now learned is called the “vegvisir.” I would have preferred a plain sheath or at least a symbol that’s familiar to me/that I vibe with. 😅 Still, for the price and quality I’m pretty pleased with this purchase!

Perfect addition to my hat!!! It’s a great size and color and the handle gives it a nice decorative element. The knife was not super sharp but that was perfect for me.
