I had already read Cline's "1177 B.C. ," and have thoroughly enjoyed revisiting the material in this beautifully illustrated, fun to read graphic representation. My high school age son, seeing it on my desk, asked to borrow it as soon as I was finished.

The moment I read it 1177 BC has taken its place among the most treasured books on my shelf. The illustrations are wonderful and the accompanying text makes this fascinating period in history thoroughly engaging.

Seriously funny, packed with serious science, shown and told beautifully. A thorough work of 247 pages. For grown ups, for young adults, for clever kids and everyone who wants to be fascinated and inspired by the distant past brought to life. Loaded with drawings of archaeological evidence like wall paintings and artefacts.

Great companion to the book.

Around 1200BC the advanced, literate Mycenaen and Minoan civilizations disappear. Total civilization darkness ensures for 400 years, untill the Greeks -with their Phoenician modified alphabet- start to write again.And there springs Homer, who records the Trojan war of 400 years before!The issue is NOT why the Myceneans vanished. In my mind the issue is HOW did Homer knew all those precise details of 400 years before?Was Velikofsky right? Maybe the Greek dark ages are an aberration of archaeological research? Did Manetho screw up chronology so bad, that we are all confused to-date?Too many questions, too few answers!Read the book. It will add to every educated persons' confusion...

I'm a history nerd who loves manga and this is the perfect comic to read after a hard day. I hope they put out more of these!

Excellent item arrived right on schedule!

Did not like this book even though I love history. A lot of repetition. Very boring so I read it in order to fall asleep in bed.
