Bought a different design cooling pad before this one and found, through experiment, that the most effective cooling improvement comes from simply lifting the laptop off of the desk and thereby removing restriction to the airflow to its own internal fan intake vents in the computer base. These intake vents are in the rear half of my 16" Dell laptop (in common with most laptop designs I would imagine) and match perfectly to the fan openings on this cooling pad... placing my laptop on the pad (in it's raised orientation) therefore gave a 6 degree reduction in my GPU temperature at maximum load before even plugging the cooling pad in.Given the closed system design of laptop cooling systems, it seems to me that it is unlikely that any cooling pad which consists of just blowing ambient air onto the computer base will be of limited value... the amount of cooling air passing over the processor will be regulated by the speed of the computers own internal fans regardless. That said, I did see a further temperature drop of a couple of degrees on the GPU upon switching on the cooling pad fans... I doubt that any of the many more expensive fan cooling pads would improve on this... certainly the first one I ordered was more expensive and far less effective than this one. NOTE: I found that if the computer/pad was moved away from the wall (where I had it initially) and used the maximum angle of the pad (rather than having it flat) performance improved. This I put down to the hot air being exhausted from the rear computer vents being reflected back from the wall and thereby grabbed by the cooling pad fans and recirculated into the laptop cooling system... Having the pad in the raised position angles the laptop exhaust vents upwards whilst the cooling pad draws fresh air from below.Oh, and the RGB lights are pretty cool also... if you're into that kind of thing 🙂

Firstly I bought because Dell thinks 70 is an appropriate time to start up the fan, which I don't believe is good for a laptop. This is passively cooling the laptop very well with noticable differences. Cleverly, this also seems to boost my laptop audio with whatever it's made off. Noise level is low. Great value for money. The one issue though purely cosmetic, most of the RGB options are grotesque flashy and annoying, luckily the blue and purple option is much more manageable but if you want a lot of good RGB designs, might not be the correct one, if you want good cooling at a low price and happy with disabling the LED effects if they annoy you, get this, it's a bargain and I actually think this will give me a couple more years of life on this Dell, thanks.

It's nice but no dust filter! That's a lie. A screw could pass through the wide grill if not something bigger. So no dust filter.

Got this for my gaming laptop. Really works well, fans cool down laptop very quickly. Also enjoy the lights

This is a great product to save a dying laptop or extend the life of a surviving one. It keeps the device ice cold to the touch with the aluminum construction drawing heat out of the device constantly. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because my 13" laptop is a bit too small for it, something I didn't think was an issue as the previous cooling stand I had had Fans all over it's body, this one has Fans on the top 75% of the device which can be an issue if your device sits below those. It also can be quite slippery however the rubber foot at the bottom allows it to hold onto the device regardless. It has two steps to it's height (not including flat down) which both work for me either heightening the latop for more airflow or a nice middle ground if you don't want it to be so high up. One benefit of this over other laptop fans is that when laying flat, by the nature of its design, it is already off of the surface it is resting on so airflow is ALWAYS ensured. The fans are nice and wide so they will not build up dust easily, the buttons are easy to press and understand and it took two minutes from box to open for me to get it working. This product is pretty much priced extremely fairly and works like a charm. Definitely get one if you find your laptop overheating lately!

Is doing a great job in cooling my 16" Lenovo ThinkPad, the pad fans are silent comparing to my (new) Laptop's fans and the fact that the pad is made of light metal frame makes it feel of a premium quality, note that Lenovo ThinkPad air intake is exactly on the same position with the cooling pad's fan, that's why it works well, other laptops can have a different cooling way.

The cooling fans are noisy and have a irritating ticking sound and the fans do not provide much airflow at all I’m very disappointed in this product it’s not worth the money at all.
