Fire TV Stick 4K + Alexa Voice Remote Pro

I have previously been very unimpressed by the lack of flexibility of Amazon Fire devices. For example, on my old Fire tablet, whilst I could add the NowTV app, I couldn't use my existing NowTV account, Amazon expecting me to take out a new subscription instead.... I was most unhappy so, for our bedroom TV, I bought a NowTV stick instead.Alas, after a number of years service, the stick totally died. As, NowTV no longer makes its own devices I was left choosing between a Roku device or this Fire stick. Both support the Apps I want - in particular PLEX, NowTV and Discovery+.Based on reviews, I was initially tempted by the flexibility of a Roku box but my neighbour suggested this Fire device instead as I already have a Prime Video subscription. He confirmed that there was no longer a requirement to use other subscriptions arranged via Amazon.Wow, I am very impressed! The device is so easy to install and use.Display quality is excellent and there is a plethora of available apps. We mainly use Prime video, NowTV, Discovery+ and PLEX (to access media on our home NAS and PLEX live channels). The catch up TV apps (BBC, ITV, etc) are also very convenient.Everything works perfectly, we simply signed into our existing accounts and we were all set. With the EE TV and Discovery+ apps, we also effectively replicate the 4K BT YouView box we have on the TV in the lounge.I am surprised and very, very chuffed 😀 😄 😁

the amazon fire stick is a great device with helps you access all the streaming content and entertainment you might want to access all at the push of a button or even by voice if you use the Alexa voice control feature all the top streaming services are accessible through this device subscription required of course.4k content on the stick looks great the stick supports all the HDR formats you would need stick works very fast also the remote is really good also it doesn't need a direct line of sight like old remotes this device also uses Bluetooth with is excellent you can also access your compatible cameras and doorbells through the fire stick which is great also all round best device and features for the price

This was an upgrade for me from a previous model by another company that I was using. Having just upgraded my TV i decided it was time to upgrade the streaming device too and this was on offer, a real bargain. The picture quality is great, aided by the TV, and the user interface is pretty user friendly. The remote is also easy to use, and I love that it all connects to Alexa and can be controlled by voice via the remote. In fact this is almost perfect, but it loses 1 star for a very important reason - it’s not completely wire free and comes with a plug to give it power. You can buy a USB adaptor which powers the device, but I’d think for what you usually pay that this would draw power directly from the TV itself like my previous one did. That said, it works great and I do have the option to buy the adaptor, but as I said it loses a star because it’s disappointing that it need another wire running behind the TV to a plug.

Easy to install, recommended.

I had an old 2nd Generation Firestick in our bedroom TV. It had become painfully slow to scroll through menus, select channels and screen programmes and to all intents and purposes became unusable. I replaced it with this 4K stick. The difference is night and day. Scrolling through pages is a breeze, frames fill immediately and all operations are fast and smooth. I am really pleased with the performance.Being a Prime member, the included content is great. It's very straightforward to add other free streaming services like Pluto, Plex, etc. In fact the whole navigation experience is very good. Audio and video quality are excellent.It's worth noting that instead of throwing it in the bin I was able to trade in my old Firestick for a 20% discount on the price. I'm a happy customer.

Great product for the price, I suppose you can’t complain that the remote is already creaking after a couple of months.But still a great product
