Excellent for jewellers!
I use this when I am handling small parts in jewellery making and also when I am painting very small, fine detail on egg tempera icons. It is very useful, lightweight but stable owing to the broad foot. I would recommend this to others for close-up work.

this lamp is ok but the lamp/Magnifying glass did not fit on the base my Hubby had to drill a slightly biger hole in the plastic adapter to get it to fit in

Works great!
Bought as a gift for the father as he likes restoring watches and he loves it. The magnifying glass is quite large so you can look at a larger peice without moving it around. The light works a treat lighting up whatever you put under it perfectly. Made of metal and feels very sturdy. I believe this will last years, so well worth the money!

Works well, but with microscopic instructions and an under-rated mains adapter.
You need a magnifying glass to read the instructions which are slightly smaller than A7 size! (see picture). Having said that, assembly is very straightforward, with some pressure needed to insert the lamp base into the desk stand. It works well as described. It is USB powered, but the box includes a UK mains adapter with a rated output of 5v 2A. However the instruction sheet reads "The Power is 12W", which means that it draws 2.4A maximum, so clearly the supplied adapter is inadequate, which might explain the failures reported by some users. I plan to use it with a 5v 3A adapter, so I'll see how long it lasts. The price is competitive, but a more highly rated mains adapter could make it more reliable.

Does not fit.
The spidle screws onto the base.ok, but does not fit onto the lamp section. Very expensive when they don't workRefund please.

Good desk magnifier lamp
This lamp has a heavy base preventing tipping over, provides good lighting and magnification. Good mobility of the loupe/lamp as well. Happy with my purchase.
