Good quality
This was a good replacement for the seat covers I use on the rear seats of my pickup truck. The original product was made to protect the seats from my dogs claws doing damage but over the years I’ve broke a few of the clips. These are a much better quality than what originally came on the covers.

Reliable.
I'm just replacing the clips on a foam cover. The clips are perfect! Great product!

Good for DIY crafts.
Some of the most valuable materials I use for making sling bags are buckles. Buckles have to withstand a lot of wear and tear and I always have very high expectations of the ones I use. No crafter likes to see their finished work last only a week or so, especially when you'll be using your DIY project to carry books, tablets, work PCs, etc. about. It is a must to have a good, reliable buckle on your bag. These particular buckles and slides are made of plastic, definitely not my first choice for material, but thus far they have withstood basic damage (thrown around, pulled on, dropped, etc.) and remain in a solid state. The buckle has a good, strong snap when they come together and a solid hold to one another. Nothing feels loose or concerning. I could definitely see these lasting me several years, if not the lifetime of any bag I might make. I was actually surprised how well they held together given how easy it is for me to unsnap them. I didn't have any problems unsnapping them, no pain from my arthritis either (definitely a plus). The slides, on the other hand, I'm not so certain about. They feel incredibly smooth and I know from experience that smooth doesn't hold things in place very well, especially when you use nylon webbing for straps. Also, some of my slides had some excess plastic fall off of them. Nothing broken or damaged that I can tell, just some extra plastic that didn't get cleaned off properly.Overall I would definitely recommend the buckle itself for bag crafting, school or work backpacks, or any other DIY project that might require a buckle. The slides I know I will have a problem with because of how smooth they are, they won't be able to grip the webbing very well on certain materials.

Strong and versatile
This is one of the better of many clones of the original Fastex buckles, used on military and outdoor recreational gear. In most cases, it will serve as a direct replacement in the rare event a comparably sized buckle has become damaged. They are virtually indestructible in normal use, but every now and then they will get slammed in a car door. Used with your own webbing they can be used to male up your own custom sized belts.
