DANIEL SMITH Extra Fine Watercolor 15ml Paint Tube, Aureolin Cobalt Yellow

Daniel Smith paints are generally always excellent, although I think the company gets a little carried away with their descriptive names. Aureolin is a staple color for me. It's a transparent, liftable, cool yellow that mixes well.

The aureolin yellow is the perfect color for so many things. This is almost the last place I can find it.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love Daniel Smith Extra Fine watercolors. I must own tons of colors and the reason is the color payoff. Wow! When I am doing a watercolor painting, Daniel Smith paints are normally the first choice I make if I want my picture to pop. I also use these paints when I am painting mixed media. To me, these watercolors can do no wrong.The yellow makes for a gorgeous color on its own or mixed with other colors for a brilliant payoff. I often use this yellow with blue to make my own green variations and they come out beautifully. In addition, I have found that quite often, Amazon will have these paints less expensive than if you were to buy them from an art retailer.
