It I’m not sure why it can’t touch water

This his a beautiful product and fits perfect. The only issue is the tie is coming loose. This will eventually cause a failure. I did burn the ends and looks like that may solve the issue. But, in doing that I did burn a blister on my finger, Ha Ha.
