Great Backpack
Backpacked India for a month with this bag and had no issues. The size was great! Lots of great spaces to put stuff.

Worth every penny!
I was lucky enough to get this on sale for $24.99 which is a bargain for such a quality bag. It easily competes with high end bags for far less. I'd rather have a few of these bags then one super expensive one.

Get's the job done
Is this 70L backpack perfect for months on the AT? I wouldn't advise it, but you do you. This HongXingHai packpack is perfect for the random weekend warrior that wants to try backpacking without spending a fortune to see if they like it or not. It provides plenty of storage (probably too much really) for you to take more than you will want to end up carrying! It comes with a raincover for when it inevitably rains on your trip to help keep your gear dry. I would still recommend putting your sleeping and clothing essentials inside another dry bag inside the pack, a lesson learned the hard way. The straps were comfortable and didn't dig in any more than most backpacks. The zippers weren't top of the line, but I didn't have any quality issues either. Will they last decades? Probably not, but they will get you through a few years of random trips at least.

Packs a ton
Bought this bag to travel and to use for hikes etc on a recent trip to Alaska. The shoe compartment held my size 13 duck boots. The side and top attachment points were a big help to roll up jackets while traveling. The front compartment bag held my snacks and phone charging cords for easy access. Bag was large and I was able to take it as a carry on for the planes. Only used it for 10 days so far but it did the job I bought it for.

Whats not to like…
I admit it, I am a bag snob. Why buy something inexpensive when you can buy something expensive down at the local REI or here on amazon?I have kids. Kids destroy things without even putting any effort into it, it’s like evil magic or a superpower they master before they can even walk. And it gets worse the older they get. Tweens are the worst. They just don't understand the loving relationship I have with my bags and backpacks, just like everyone else should, it could mean the difference between life and death in some situations. I love my bags so much that If it came down to it, it would probably be toss up on which of them I would leave in the forest if I had to leave something behind….them or the bag?So I decided they needed to develop a better understanding of this relationship between man child and bag. But not with my snobby bag, no way…So I looked for something that could get them started on the all important bag buddy relationship. These looked like a good place to start and are a pretty good deal for the $$ so I gave one of them a try.I have bought 3 more….Each in a different color for each kid.My daughter is a little disappointed they aren’t available in pink (thank goodness…)These are impressively good bags for a sub $100 bag. They have all the features and doodads I like on my much more expensive bags. They fit well and have plenty of flexibility in adjusting to the various sizes and body types of my kids (and adults as well) With the proper adjustment they ride just right, not too high or low and do a good job of keeping the load and center of gravity in just the right spot. There is plenty of padding in all the right places as well without making the bag too bulky or heavy. There are less outside pockets than I am used too but thats not a big deal. The inside is roomy and can be expanded is a couple of different ways. There is a good strapping system on the outside for trekking poles, fishing poles, snowshoes and even skis. The stitching is solid and held up well to a bag full of rocks when we went rucking recently. The description says the seams are waterproof but I have not been able to personally test that yet. Speaking of water, The built in rain fly is nice too. These great bags will give my kids a good start in developing the healthy relationship with their bag without being a snob about it….Only one complaint (only one? That’s not bad considering my admission of being a bag snob…) the water bladder compartment is not insulated. Seems like a crazy miss considering the features and quality of the rest of the bag but it is easily fixed by using an external insulation sleeve.I am posting this same review on all four bag purchases as they were all made separately.
