The shoe rack perfectly in the corner of my living room. It’s easily accessible and aesthetically pleasing in the room, but it doesn't draw too much attention to itself. Assembling it was incredibly easy; barely needed the instructions once the first couple tiers were put together. The mallet didn’t help much, but even then, I was able to build it in less than 30 minutes (could’ve been less if I wasn’t multitasking).The only reasons I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 are:1) It’s an inch wider than I would’ve liked. Since my front door can only open 90° now, I’m not able to put the hangers on the sides as intended. It’s manageable for me, but be sure to triple-check the dimensions of your intended space before purchasing.2) My tallest boots (which are less than knee length) couldn’t fit in the bottom space. Heels were also hard to maneuver. I was able to remedy that by putting my boots on the top and playing a balancing game with the heels.3) The mats that it came with were folded at the edges and very hard to straighten. They kept slipping through the cracks when putting them on the shelves, and it was a battle getting them in place enough to put the shoes on. But again, manageable once they’re relatively in place.Overall, very happy with this purchase, especially considering the price. It’s sturdy, matches my home decor, and holds my many many pairs of shoes with ease. Definitely would recommend!

I’m a 60-year-old female and I put this together in no time. I didn’t use the gloves or The little hammer I just use my body to push on it and it went together without any issues. It was the easiest thing ever. I don’t understand the negative reviews at all. My husband has heavy work boots and there is no problem at all with the stability of it. A child could put this together. It’s that simple. I didn’t use the gloves because I didn’t need them, but it’s nice. They sent them in case someone wanted to use them. I have Three pairs of boots on the top as well!

Honestly I’d probably buy another one because let’s face it I have a lot of shoes. It really wasn’t to hard to put together my husband and I got it done pretty fast. And I love the side hooks for each side because I can hang my boys book bags and jackets on it. We have it completely filled with a few pairs of boots on it and it’s held up great so far. Fits great in our mud room also.
