An Excellent Product: Quality, Documentation, and Support
I was expecting a “cheap” product because the price was quite low given its functionality. Very pleasantly surprised: It’s a very high quality product, with excellent documentation. I needed another 6 ft of cable to reach the back of my van, so I contacted support and they replied immediately. I’m super happy with the product, and would absolutely buy another one of these if I needed one.I have a new Ford Transit cargo van with no rear windows. Ford has a digital rear view mirror product for the Transit, but it cost something like $800-$900, and that doesn’t include installation. So well over $1,000 installed, and I don’t think it includes the dash cam recording capability that this unit has. It has a separate camera for the front, so it is always recording both front and rear. It doesn’t come with the SD card required for recording, but that is a tiny thing, given all this system’s other upsides. The image quality is excellent, with a nice broad view behind the van. A great improvement of situational awareness to have the rear view mirror. Much better than using only side mirrors.I found the user interface to be very easy/intuitive.This is a great value for the money.

Seamless Installation, decent desktop software, great customer support trouble free operation
Installation took a while, but once done its nearly invisible. Customer support is very responsive and helpful. I needed different fuse adapters and they sent them to me free of charge(it did take a week). Be sure to check all the parts and connectors are what you need before you start or you might find yourself half installed for a week or more while you source additional parts. I had to contact support for the software, but it works very well(a little tricky to change from the default chinese to english). I have the GPS module and it shows, speed and mapping while video playback is running. I've had the unit for 11 months with no issues. In fact I purchased another one for my other car.The rear view mirror in my truck was near useless, but with the T9 my rear view is both wide and deep giving me great rear vision. It did take some getting used to the difference in depth perception. Objects are much nearer than they appear.

Great customer service! And a good front/rear "dash" cam too.
Great customer service! And a good front/rear "dash" cam too.I bought this over the wolf brand, for several reasons and was a bit dissapointed when I noticed it didn't have 'swipe' options like the other brand. But I'm please with what it does for me, and that it actually works VERY well.I swapped the rear mount and camera, for one that was more flush and at the correct angle. Verified the pin out and tech was the same and tested a few to get the right one. Even with the newer camera, I still get the hard to see rearview at night due to headlight glare. I got that glare with the Autovox camera too. I just live with it, or turn the mirror to a 'drive mode' at night anyway (too bright and lights up the cab, even at the lowest setting or in auto mode). I noticed the glare is an issue with most all cameras at night from vehicle headlights. Otherwise, it's perfect during the day and other times of use.The forward camera is awesome. But I don't have the mirror in that mode... ever. I only do every now and again to check to make sure it's aligned as I've hit it and knocked it out of alighnment when cleaning the inside of the front windshield. It works great for capturing and recording as needed.I noticed when I hit the 'lock' for a recording, it only captures from that button push time. It doesn't go back say 1-3 minutes before the button push. So that is a problem. If you're driving and need to capture video due to an incident, it won't get the incident by the time you get to the button on the LCD and push "lock". It needs to capture the minutes before the button push to be worthwhile. I've only tested this once or twice when a vehicle pulled in front of me, and it was when I first installed the mirror. I've yet to test it since.I had an issue where the mirror wouldn't turn off. I'd get out of the vehicle and walk away. Noticing that 1hr, 2hrs, or even 6hrs later to see it still ON when walking by the vehicle at night. It was draining my battery. I emailed Autovox, and "Gigi" replied fairly quickly. After some troubleshooting they had me upload new firmware, and it corrected the issue. They said if it didn't, they'd replace it. That was top notch customer service. For that alone, I give them 5-stars as most chinese companies will just shrug their shoulders and let you go buy something else. You need to know, I'm overly meticulous and very detail oriented. Also an old I.T. guy so still very techy. I'm demanding of my purchases, so I'm not sure if my "issues" will be your issues. So take my review with a grain of salt. You can't go wrong with Autovox and this mirror solution as it's very nice and works as it should.

replacing older rearview suction mount cam with T9pro
Son had a AUTO-VOX CS-2 Wireless Backup Camera since 2020 and we decided to upgrade to the T9Pro by AUTO-VOX. Just finished the install over Christmas break from college. Very impressed with the overall ease of installation and feel/quality of the product. Took just over an hour for my son and I to install in his 2006 Mercedes CLS500. The instructions for connection of the 3 wires to fuse box/ground are simple and basic enough to understand. Plus they give you everything needed to connect them to fuse box. Also the rear view mirror fit on the current mirror bracket so another plus. But they gave adapters in case it didn't fit directly on. I thought the longest or hardest part was concealing the wires since the CLS500 is a sportier tight fitting Mercedes with not much room to maneuver around to easily. But since he has multiple fuse boxes in the car in different places made it easier. Love that it has both front cam and rear view since my son commutes from off campus and as a parent you always worry about their safety. Also worried about college kids or people breaking into car to steal the other dash mounted backup camera, so he would always try to hide it. Now since this looks OEM and replaces rearview mirror nobody can tell its not original to the car. Picture Quality is as good or better than our previous camera according to my son. He says night time vision is better on the new unit and the touchscreen and anti-glare are added benefits. He definitely loves his new gift and the upgrade. I love the gps sensor, recording capabilities, and 24hr parking monitor. Glad I stuck with auto-vox again! Writing this at night and he isn't home to take pictures. Will try to update with pics.
