ST ASTIER NHL 5 HYDRUALIC LIME St Astier lime has a harder initial set than some other brands. Natural Hydraulic Lime NHL 5 is typically used for external works in exposed areas such as chimneys, copings, river and canal works. Providing a faster and harder finish. Went on nicely with a 1 to 3 parts builder’s sand. 2 days after at 17 degrees centigrade in day and last night got to 6 degrees centigrade and no cracking. I think the moisture in the air has helped avoid the need for wetting. The sun has been shining too. I used a SBR bonding liquid before use that I bought separately. Good stuff! Mixes with the right sands well. A white chalky colour. Needs darker coloured sands.
This lasts a good long while, with the right mixed in sands. Perfect.
