This cabinet is sturdy and well made. That being said I have two main issues.First, the mounting holes are too high to where hanging it is awkward without a long driver extension.Secondly, there is no punch out for the power cord. Defibs need to be kept plugged in until used. These is no pre cur hole for this, so you will wind up having to drill through the side of the box which aesthetically speaking may not be the best look for professional settings.4 stars

While I'm sure it will work well for it's stated use, I'm using it to hold cordless tool batteries and chargers.The idea is to put a smoke detector(s) on top (or inside) of the unit to alert for fires, should they occur .(I have a lot of cordless tools, and get a number of offerings of 'clone' LiON batteries for testing.)While the unit is not air tight, nor is the window fire proof (plastic), it should at least give me a chance to put out any fire that might occur....and also makes a really nice storage box - the hinge and latch mechanisms are good quality, as is the metal construction and (presumbed) powder coat paint (though it does have a bit of an orange peel finish, it's NOT of automotive quality, after all!).The handle can be mounted in several ways, making it somewhat more convenient, and can be mounted 'upside down' to flip the hinge side from left to right opening.As near as I can tell, this cabinet is not lockable (a good thing?).The mounting holes are too narrow for 16" OC studs unfortunately, so I'll need to devise a 'quick removal' mount system should a fire happen (for quick removal to toss outside).I found no faults at all with the quality and features of this cabinet; it is well designed, and quite sturdy. So it's a matter of whether the dimensions suit your needs or not.(Someone needs to offer a similar product, with all metal panels (no plastic) for fire safe storage and charging of lithium ion batteries - and tested for saftey.)I have NO idea if this will work for battery fire safety - I'm no expert in any of this stuff - but I needed a storage cabinet for large mower/blower (ego) batteries, and this will do the job nicely, with room to spare for smaller tool batteries. I use the top to hold the chargers for'ready' use.Sure hope I don't regret not getting a defib machine to put in it, though....;)

If you have seen a defibrillator or AED cabinet in a gym, store, or hospital you will know exactly what to expect with this cabinet. It is a large metal box that is robustly built.I ordered this to use in my bathroom at home because I LOVE the look of medical furniture.My plan is to repaint it (even though the finish on the cabinet is gorgeous), add lights, and shelves.It will be filled with washcloths and self-care products like lotion, cologne, toothpaste, etcetera.Near the end of September 2024, I will update ethe review with before and after photos.If you can catch it on sale for under $100, I say go for it cause this thing will last a lifetime.

Bought this in February for our EAD. The box is rarely opened but less than 5 months after purchasing the latch no longer works and we cannot open the door. Tried asking for help on this but keep being told by the automated Amazon assistant that the return window is closed. Very disappointing. We're a small NGO and having to purchase a new one, after only 5 months, is an awful waste.
