Presonus Eris Studio 5 5.25-inch Powered Studio Monitor

Took a punt on these for my studio room 3.5x2.5x2.1m I'm very pleased with their sound quality. Piano is one of the most demanding instruments to put through a sound system. Near field monitors, against the wall in a small space make this an even tougher challenge. After a month of usage I can say the Eris Studio 5s perform very well. I'm super happy! Thank you

These monitors sound fantastic when in use, but they have too much noise when idle. I really wanted them to work for me but in the end I had to return them because the hum was driving me nuts and I didn’t want to have to turn them off all the time.

I considered every possible monitor setup at this price range for my new home studio setup. I went for the Studio 5s, buying 2 units, as they had such a good frequency range and still retain a nice compact size. The front ports mean I can place on desk close to the wall and the 3 freq adjustment knobs let you customise for a clean sound. I considered the Eris E5 BT but really those are more suited to Multimedia and have one amp in one of the speakers and a speaker cable linked to the second speaker. These Studio 5's are the latest in the PreSonus series of quality monitors and replace the Eris series monitors they are dedicated monitor speakers and well worth the extra investment. The sound was actually quite surprising in terms of rich low frequencies and tight punchy bass. The build quality and packaging is premium and Amazon delivery was as usual perfect with next day Prime. I link via a scarlet audio interface with 1mtr cables and there is no hiss or interference at all .Fantastic

I was torn between the 5" KRK's and these for weeks. To be honest there isn't much difference in the sound, but I do love the look of these. They sound amazing and the mixes I have done since using them have come out really well. Very please and highly recommend them for home/ small studio.

No low end on them , cheap feeling speakers , high end is exaggerated, not accurate I think it's just marketing so buy the sub woofer , presonus get a thumbs down from me
