Boresnakes make cleaning barrels very easy and fast. I like how the Hoppes brand ones have smaller metal bristles imbedded into the cord unlike some other brands. I feel like it does help with excessive grime.

Get it and Use it
If you don’t use bore snakes you should. Fast and very effective. Get one for each caliber!

Perfect
I've been using Hoppers 9 Bore Snakes for years. The new design (Viper with detachable Handel and case) Fully live up to it's name. They are the bench mark in bore snakes. They are great for a quick clean at the range. Unlike other brands that just put a bore brush first followed by a tail, Hoppers has a tail in front also. Meaning you can put some CLP on it and them pull threw for a quick clean. Plus thy are machine washable.

One of the best products on the market
Bore snakes simplify basic cleaning. I run this, with a little CLP, through the bore, after each range session. Not a deep cleaning tool, but clears out a lot of carbon/copper build up in the barrel. Follow with a couple of dry patches. Quick. Easy. Small package. Every range bag should have 1 for each caliber.

It works well
This is very easy to use and it cleans very well. This is the original boar snake and it is so much better than any of the cheap knockoffs out there. It's great for doing a quick clean, if you just want to clean the Barrel in the chamber and not disassemble everything.

Great for field use
I love these bore snakes. I use them after shooting to ensure I limit any corrosion in the rifle barrels. I own many of these in several calibers and this one works great.

Plenty long for a Carbine
Used it for 44 mag carbine and it was plenty long. I like the little case too
