Works great. All my plastic floats failed and leaked

Wish I had installed this ages ago! I used this to auto fill my chicken waterer. No issues. Installing was quick and easy. I ended up getting a 1/2" npt to 3/4" garden hose adapter to attach to it. Maybe that is why I didn't have the leaking issue people seemed to have in other reviews. The included 3/4" to 1/2" adapter is npt and not garden hose thread. Even when using it just to get 3/4” npt, it is super loose. You would need tons of thread tape and there is nothing to stop it when you screw it down. It just keeps screwing down the elbow beyond the threads. I wouldn't bother with the included adapter. Another review said that it fills very slowly. I did not find that to be the case. It actually startled me when I turned the water on. It sounds like the hose on full blast on the jet setting. Once the water reaches the valve, it shuts off. So far so good, will update this review if needed.

The elbow fitting can't be tightened enough to keep it from leaking. If this valve constantly leaks, I could save the expense and just leave a hose in the tank on a trickle. I used teflon tape AND puddy. I tightened the fittings until I was afraid I'd break the valve. It still leaks! JUNK! The gaskets they provide have don't fit anywhere in the assembly. But if they did fit, the would have nothing to seat on. Waster of money and time!!

I wanted to write a review for this. I made a trough for our chickens. This way they have water even if we are gone for a week or even a month. In the Florida heat, the chickens need water and this valve saved us a big headache. I recommend getting this float valve and getting another one in the future for some other products.

This is exactly what I was needing for my chickens water trough. It is a great solution to my needs and works great. The only thing is that you have to do is use a lot of the tape but it comes with plenty. I have it hooked on a water hose. I will be able to go on vacation and not worry about their water.

I have wanted to install an automatic pool filler. They retail over $60 and are plastic, plus you load them with stones to keep them on the pool edge. I spotted this stainless-steel level controller. I already had PVC pipe to the pool, so it was just a matter of fitting this to the end and setting the correct level. A good deal at the price.

Hi thank the description of the device was not exactly right it was called an automatic float valve that controls the level of the fluid, if the water level gets too high, the water runs out the device, if it gets too low it doesn't control anything it only lets it run off.
